A longtime gem in the culinary scene of Vancouver, this restaurant has moved within the city but has not lost its superb standard of inventive fare. It will not disappoint.

This was better than I expected. It's a bit pricy but it's fine dining afterall, do not go there if you want a budget meal, but absolutely go there if you want one of the finest dining experiences in Vancouver

Snooty Server and boring food. Food probably interesting 20 Years ago but hasn't changed with the times. Look elsewhere, you will be glad you did.

Unfortunately, we were unable to step foot in this restaurant, due to the fact that they refused to accept their own gift certificate. I realized that it had expired 4 days prior. Upon emailing them for a slight extension, they thought it would be in...More

We have enjoyed Le Crocodile for prior visits to Vancouver, and were eager to return. It is as excellent as ever. Full classic French menu with excellent selections of local seafood as well. Nice small tucked away bar that seats only about 6 people; nice...More

No doubt a great selection of French food and the waiter explanation of the specials made me almost not bother opening the menu . Very indulgent and rich , we had the creme brûlée foie gras to start the meal and that sort of sums...More

We arrived in a cab on a wet evening and our first experience on arrival, was someone quickly getting to the cab with an umbrella so that my wife did not get wet while moving into the restaurant - a nice touch. Staff were extremely...More

A small slice of Sarlat has been transported from Dordogne to Vancouver! A nice vibe to the place with efficient well informed staff. The menu reads very well with a good number of specials. I went for the fresh fois gras globe and the pork...More

Le Crocodile is the epitome of a Vancouver foodie institution. Chef Michel Jacob has been running this classic French restaurant for just over 30 years. Over those three decades he has played host to a proverbial “who’s who” in celebrity and political culture; everyone from...More

West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines
verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with
Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a
paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and
perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most
languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset
Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to
take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along

If they have seared foie gras, go for it. I had the delicious scallops with black ink pasta. Anything is good and if you don't like it, they will fix it!

If you like noise, go to one of those corporate chain restaurants with blaring music. None of that at this fine establishment.
