We had dinner here one evening and were so impressed that we returned for lunch on another day. Wonderful service and gourmet food fit for a Michelin star. We would never pass the sweetbreads or lobster when they are available. The tomato and gin soup...More

Lunch is every bit as good as dinner and you need not book weeks in advance to get in, it is also a bargain. This is our favorite restaurant in Vancouver, at least downtown as it has great food, friendly and efficient service, a very...More

I and my family were on vacation in Vancouver. We asked our dear friends, who used to live in Vancouver, to recommend a classy, neighborhood spot with excellent food. They could not have recommended a better place. It was a treat walking in, and seeing...More

Excellent service and atmosphere. However, my friend and I both felt our meals were not on par with other, somewhat less expensive French restaurants in Vancouver (for reference we each had the chef's tasting menu with wine pairings), and I think we would both willingly...More

I have had the privilege of dining at Le Crocodile for decades. Chef Jacob has created a jewel in the culinary world. Tonight my wife and I celebrated our anniversary at the restaurant. What an experience. The people that serve you are astounding, service you...More

Meeting with friends in Vancouver after a cruise , we were recommended to visit Le Crocodile for authentic a French type restaurant. We were not disappointed; the food, the choice and the service was excellent. We would return, in fact we have recommended it to...More

I and my wife went to this elegant restaurant on our first visit from Vancouver and found their steaks were amazing.

I love this restaurant. I don't get there often, but when I do the meals never disappoint. It is a little out of the way, and much quieter than many of the other high-end restaurants downtown, which is a big positive for me. No "club"...More

The great service and delicious menu won't disappoint along with a nice wine selection. The ambience is quiet and quaint but the decor is very outdated so don't expect a high-end look when you walk in.

Four of us had a very enjoyable time here. WE spent about 2 hours over lunch in our quiet corner. The food was very good to excellent. Great service. We were treated to an amuse-bouche and a small sweet treat at the end of our...More

West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines
verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with
Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a
paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and
perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most
languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset
Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to
take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along

If they have seared foie gras, go for it. I had the delicious scallops with black ink pasta. Anything is good and if you don't like it, they will fix it!

If you like noise, go to one of those corporate chain restaurants with blaring music. None of that at this fine establishment.
