We stopped in for breakfast. Was a tasty little stop with what you would expect from a traditional breakfast. Staff was friendly and service was quick.

This place was recommended by the front desk clerk at our hotel and we were not disappointed. They have everything you could want on a breakfast menu and the prices are great for being downtown. The coffee, eggs, pancakes and hash browns are fantastic. We were glad that White Spot didn't open until 8 because we got to eat here... More

I've been to this place twice for dinner but had breakfast for the first time the other morning. They have an extensive breakfast menu at very reasonable prices. I had scrambled eggs, hash browns, toast and sausages which came with four sausages - a very hearty breakfast at only a cost of $7.50! The server was very welcoming and friendly.... More

This place was recommended to us by hotel staff as a place to get appies late. Quirky tropical decor. A hole in the wall kind of pub with VERY loud music, decent service and typical pub fare. Served the purpose (:

My husband and I were looking for a nearby restaurant we could walk to on a rainy night and stopped in here. On Tuesday evenings they have tacos for $1 - $2 each which were perfect for a light snack we were craving. We tried the beef, chicken and pulled pork and all were delicious. The place was packed so... More

Unpretentious spot on the eclectic corner of Davie and Granville Street. Welcoming staff, great pub fare(big portions), perfect for big groups, or as a solo customer to watch the world go by. All walks of life to keep things interesting and everyone is made to feel welcome. If your looking for a wanna be upscale pub where the servers act... More

Tired of walking around, can't figure out what to eat, and how much to spend? Typical pub food BUG large portions! A wide variety of beverages reasonably priced with daily specials. Staff are super friendly, pretty mixed crowd despite a different review stating it's an older crowd. It's simple, super quick service, and in the city in a clean neighbourhood.

My boyfriend and I were on a trip out here from Seattle for our 7 year anniversary and decided to go somewhere for an appetizer and drinks. We were greeted at the door and sat by the window. The waitress took our drink order and told us it might be a while because something had happened with the bartender. Some... More

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
