Tea menu with many choices Tea served in dainty little cups in individual patterns. 3 tiers of finger foods. My favourite was cheese scone with cream cheese and lox. Assortment of sweets as well. Too much to finish in one sitting.

Just had a lovely lunch with my dad at the James Bay Tea Room. We had the soup of the day (potato bacon) and shared a clubhouse sandwich all which were very tasty. I had a pot of herbal tea which came in a sweet little tea cozy. Nice to warm my hands with as the place was quite chilly... More

Sooooo good!! At a third of the price for tea at the Empress Hotel, this tea room came highly recommended by the hotel, locals, etc. Staff was gracious and helpful. If you want a great high tea experience without paying a lot, check this place out.

My friend and her 8 year old daughter were up for a visit and wanted to go to tea. After reading some reviews, she chose this place. The first thing we noticed was how cold it was. The hostess/waitress (who was very nice and wanted to make us happy) explained that their heat wasn't working. The furnishings really need to... More

I was looking for a good place for breakfast near my hotel, and this place popped up. It was a short walk well worth it. The restaurant is very cozy in an old house type of building. Since we were between the breakfast and lunch times, it was uncrowded and we got our choice of table. We sat at the... More

My wife and I came to James bay tea room, about a week ago and were very impressed. We ordered afternoon tea, and everything was delicious! Especially the raisin scones :) Service was fast, efficient, and very friendly. Thank you for the great experience! We will be back

We have been coming to the tea room for many years and we find that it is somewhat unpredictable- sometimes the service is good, and other times it is horrible- on one visit, we actually walked out of the restaurant after being seated by the waitress and then not receiving any service for over half an hour. On a good... More

Craving a British style tea, we went to the James Bay and really delighted in the sandwiches and scones. My husband ordered a salad and loved it. And our daughter loved the decor of the place.
