Partner and I love coming here for brunch. Small place that always serves up great oat toast with really yummy jam! Not the typical brunch madness you get in Victoria.

We enjoyed a generous pot of tea each accompanied by a sweet roll. Others were enjoying breakfast plates (served till 2p). Service is top notch, bathroom very clean. Definitely on my ‘must return’ list!
I've been going to Avalon for a few years now and am never disappointed with their amazing breakfasts. I often walk by the Blue Fox on the way which usually has big queues and can't understand why Avalon isn't the same, other than it's a...More
hardly ever have to wait on the weekend; a rare find in victoria! service is a little inconsistent but we still love to eat here
I would rate this place average except that the coffee was so bad, it was undrinkable. We were here for breakfast. They have no oatmeal or pancakes. Not much for vegetarians except a nice fruit plate. Meals are $8-14. Good service. Small dining room.

We stumbled upon this place on our way to the castle and had brunch. Delicious food (we had eggs benedict and it came with yummy potatoes). We appreciated that we could buy half portions, which was sufiicient for our tummies. Small, casual place.
This tiny little place makes a good basic breakfast in a friendly atmosphere. House made jams are delicious! They also have yeast free toast. If you're feeling more like lunch, they also do a decent burger!
Victoria has it's fair share of great breakfast/lunch places and Avalon deserves to be on that list. Excellent service, affordable eats, and so so good. As you'll read elsewhere, their signature hot sauce is.... incredible.
