After reading several reviews of restaurants, I decided to check this place out, as I wanted a relatively quiet and relaxing evening. This is just what I found. Though I found the establishment a little hard to find, the prior reviews gave me a good idea what to look for and what to expect. The menu is rather simple, with... More

I am a local cook and sushi lover & was so thrilled this couple opened this little place several years ago, that I painted them a sign so that it's hidden location would be easier to find for other sushi hunters:) Their business eventually caught on & is thriving thanks to people appreciative of delicious food at very reasonable prices... This little gem of a such place is tucked away behind the Polson Shops on the road to Kalamalka Lake, south-west of Vernon. The friendly staff take your order and then proceed to make the sushi before your very eyes, guaranteeing that is fresh. Price are right, too, with California Roll starting at $4.95 for 9 pieces. Only about 10... More

Went to Sakura to check out their Japanese grocery as we make our own sushi/sashimi at home. Only bought a piece of albacore tuna to try and it was very good. Other than that they didn't have much that you couldn't get elsewhere.

Ordered three rolls for the price I usually pay for two at other places and was impressed at the quality of the food. Would like to see some more deep fried options but the rolls were healthy and tasty irregardless.

It is an easy place to miss but it has a loyal following. The place isn't fancy, it is pretty much all white inside with cute handmade signs. It also has the best lunch value in town for sushi and their combos. You can easily lunch on a huge option of items for less than ten dollars. There is serve... More

Pretty fresh sushi. The mango tasted fresh and tangy in the ogopogo dragon roll. I'm not a fan of fruit in sushi but this was the right amount. Wakame salad was good and I asked for spicy sashimi and it was the right amount of spicy!

But don't pass it by! A very casual but nicely equipped little restaurant. Substantial grocery department, including frozen foods. The inari here are SUBSTANTIAL, unlike the wimpy little pockets you find served elsewhere in Canada. Miso soup was extremely good!
