In our opinion, this is the best restaurant in Whistler. During our 2-week skiing trip we also visited the higher-ranking restaurants (on Tripadvisor), but none was able to top our experience at Alta Bistro. Cozy and relaxed ambience but excellent food, great wine options, friendly and very professional staff. This will be our first stop next time we visit Whistler.

Excellent West Coast and Whistler experience. Fresh, local food and wine pairing from outstanding B.C.

This is one of the very best restaurants in Whistler. The menu is spectacular as is the wine list. Be adventurous here. Their use of spices is so intricate you can't always tell what they've done in the prep. The bread is only served if you order it from the menu (not included). Order it! Deelishhhuussss!!! Can't find a bad... More

My husband and I shared the Pork Shank and we thought the food was good. The service was also wonderful.

We were there for Oysters and caviar... Terrible service, completely overrated and totally over priced . Do not recommend at any point or time...

There are several high end restaurants to choose from in Whistler, but this is the one I would suggest. It has a cozy and friendly atmosphere where you would feel comfortable in jeans or dressed up for a night out. I had the Cassoulet of Chorizo and Smoked Pork Belly and it was hands down the best meal I had... More

Just another restaurant at a ski resort. Food was good, but not too special. Service was precise and nice. Ambiance has nothing special. Location is not as central as it looks, depending where are you staying.

We dined at AB as a party of 6 last week. The shared appetiser plate was an absolute winner - recommend it 100%. We decided to focus on Canadian fare - the Elk was a little overwhelmed by the foie gras it came with but the Bison well worth a try. Wine list was good but a little pricy.

We visited once and loved it so much that we went back again. We are vegans and the staff could not have been more accommodating. The first time we went we are the vegan option on the menu and the second time they just cooked off menu for us so that we didn't have to eat the same. The staff... More

This restaurant had a casual and funky vibe and the food and cocktails were elaborate and unique. They had a fairly extensive list of cocktails to choose from, and the bartender was keen to explain each one should you ask. They also have 2 beers on tap and a few bottle beers as well. The kitchen staff were clearly very... More

Locally inspired cuisine set in a casual bistro atmosphere. Chef Nicholas Cassettari combines his classic training, top tier experience, and world travels with the best of B.C.'S bounty to create the fine flavours at Alta Bistro. Service is casual and prompt in the dining room and bar. The wine list is French focused, with the best of B.C. As well as international selections (many by the glass) with Enomatic machines dispensing fine and eclectic selections to pair with Alta's cuisine. Mixologists behind our bar craft some of Whistler's finest cocktails. The cozy bistro atmosphere is lively and welcoming. Reservations are a must.
