This is our families go to Fish & Chip Shop on the Beach. We'll often order Fish & Chips and walk across the street to a picnic bench on the beach to enjoy our dinner. Order the cod and chips, generous portions!

Don't be fooled by the bustling Moby Dick right beside this place. You might be tempted to go where all the tourists flock to but Coney Island is where I go for some good food. The portions are good, borderline too good, the fish is fluffy on the inside and crunchy on the batter without being greasy, and you get... More

A friend of mine used to live in East Beach. She recommended Coney Island to me, as a newcomer to White Rock. The food was great. It was hot and tasty. I really liked that the fish was not greasy and had just the right amount of batter that had a light texture. The portion was fair to large. The... More

Coney Island be everyone's go to place for fish and chips. Hot, crispy, and fresh! The tarter sauce is excellent & the service is good. The place looks a little run down however, that won't matter because the food is 2 thumbs up :)

Not kidding, it looks like a run down, questionable joint, but trust me- the fish and chips are literally the best. My family has been going here for over 20+ years. The batter is thin and the fish is juicy and flakey. The fries are so addicting! Tartar is bomb! Must I go on? Try it. It will change your... More

Coney Island had been my go to place for fish and chips since 1980 - until last summer. Over those years there have been three owners, that I'm aware of, and Mike has been in charge for about the last 20 years. The quality of the halibut and fries had remained consistent over all those years and I highly recommended... More

It's been a long while since I tried Coney Island, so one rainy night, I thought I would take out their halibut & chips. Large pieces of fish, but as the fish was so thin and had so much batter, I'm not convinced it was halibut. Halibut is usually a much more chunky fish, but this was more like skinny... More

Having lived in the UK for Thirty odd years I was raised on greasy fish and chips and was surprised when we emigrated to Canada how much better fish and chips tasted here. For many years really enjoyed the Halibut and Chips of C Lovers but following our move to White Rock four years ago we are converts to Coney... More

Stopped in last night for 2 piece Halibut and chips at $23. Halibut tasted like rockcod or some other fish. Dry and chewy. Terrible. Would never go back again.

Stopped by here on our way home to Vancouver after a long road trip. It was 2:00 on a weekend day and pretty quiet on the strip so parked the car and hopped out near 3 - 4 fish and chip joints. Just chose Coney Island randomly. So glad we did. If you want value and good fish and chips,... More
