I was hesitant after the breakfast but it turned out to have an excellent dinner. Fresh warm sourdough bread and attentive staff added to the good entrees. I would recommend it

The food here is amazing. Ate the prime rib the first night and it was beautifully done, and I'm picky with steak, caramelized perfectly! And don't skip the creme brûlée! Wow! Frobisher Bay eggs benny for breakfast, again, perfectly done. Veggie risotto with prawns day 2, the prawns were huge and perfect and the risotto was delicious!!! My opinion is... More

Surprising a great restaurant inside of a hotel. A bit pricey but to be expected in one of the nicest hotels in Yellowknife. Food is nicely plated and tasty. Atmosphere is wonderful near the windows or near the fireplace

Since I couldn't find a local restaurant open for breakfast in downtown area (it's good Friday today), I decided to come here. Their breakfast menu is very simple such as omelette, pancakes or egg Benedict etc... very North American... however "classic egg Benedict" that I had taste so good. It perfectly cooked and mouth melting... roasted potatoes on the side... More

During our trip to Yellowknife, we wanted to eat at a nice venue one evening, to sample the local brew and try some game. This place was recommended from the front desk at Coast Fraser hotel. Reservations are suggested, as during peak season it may fill up quickly. We started with home baked sourdough bread, and it took us the... More

Great restaurant located inside Explorer Hotel. Offered good size home style cooked meals that didn't fail to satisfy. Good range on menu and was easy to find something to enjoy. Must book for evening meal as can quickly fill up with tour groups as this is their preferred hotel for stays to see the Aurora.

Lots of different food but not my idea of brunch. No oatmeal, porridge or cereals of any kind. I wanted rye bread to go with the smoked salmon and they had no idea what I was talking about (communication could be a bit of a problem sometimes). They did bring toast which was good. I saw someone with dark bread... More

There are only a few high end dining establishments in the city and this is one. The other being the Quarry at Chateau Nova. I went with a lady friend and was really impressed. I had the Chef's Special which was venison while my friend had chicken supreme. Both meals took a while to come out but we weren't in... More

Went Saturday night for the Prime Rib special. I would say it is really good price and good portion and Taste good. With $23 you can have a 8 oz Prime rib and $27 a 10oz. The pic was taken in the 8oz. If you do not want to go out looking for food in the extreme cold weather, this... More
