I love the look and atmosphere of Henry House! I was excited to dine there, but completely let down by the nachos, which barely had any cheese, let alone other toppings. The entire plate was well over half just bare nacho chips. Our server, however, was lovely. I like the atmosphere enough that I'm sure I'll give another meal a... More

What's not to like about being in an almost two hundred year old stone building that's home to a very traditional British-style pub serving Granite Brewing's authentic English beer? Three beer engines allow the beer lover to try hand-pulled cellar temperature beers that are, for me, the closest I've had to some very fine bitters and ales on previous trips... More

Thank you for your visit Ralph. I'm glad that your group enjoyed the real ales. I will let the kitchen know about the fryer temperature. As for the pies, they are made in house from scratch with a lard and flour pastry being rolled out followed by homemade leek, chicken, butter and cream filling added to the shells before being... Our family recently ate here for an evening meal .Large restaurant with two floors of seating . Servings were a bit small on fish and chips but everything else was fine . Waiter was busy and service was ok .Lots of different beer on tap !

Ah the beginning of a new summer season on the open patio market. The weather was perfect about 30 Celsius. The burgers were delicious and the beer sampler was a great way to taste a variety of beers at a reasonable price.

It's been years since I've been to the Henry House but it remains a little gem in the South End of the city. I had dinner early in the week in the cozy pub downstairs. It was surprisingly busy by 7:30 PM with every table filled but the service was efficient and pleasant. I had the pan fried haddock meal... More

I always thought this venue looked too expensive whenever we drove by but I was very surprised by the reasonably priced dining room options. This "house" has a pub in the basement, a dining room with fireplace on the main floor as well as a whiskey bar upstairs. The artichoke dip was served with warm pita triangles and nacho chips.... Great, old atmosphere. Relaxing and comfortable place to take a load off after a day of exploring the city. Nice food and good beers. Takes you back in time.

We have eaten a few times at Henry House and each time has been great. With very friendly servers to make recommendations, dinner has been very pleasant. The restaurant uses local food products; we found all items fresh, wonderful seasoned, and served at a pleasant rate (not rushed). A variety of local & imported beer and wines. Their creme brulé... I was here this week and really enjoyed it. I dined downstairs and I noticed the two person booths are incredibly cramped. We had to move so our knees werent knocking into each other. Was confused why they were there when not even functional. Other than that I thought the options on the menu all sounded delicious. I had the... More

We were staying just down the block from Henry House. Stopped in for a drink the first night, back for supper the next, lunch the next day... had seafood chowder, salt cod fish cakes, fish and chips--good hearty pub style fare. Good selection in the bar, high end scotch slightly less expensive than other bars nearby. We preferred the lower... More
