This pub is very tired and needs to be totally refurbished. The washrooms are awful the smell down there puts you off eating and drinking - they say you can judge an establishment by its washrooms!. I hope people don't think this is a typical British pub because it is not, standards are a lot higher than this in England.... More

The Poacher is very close to our home - so we are there at least twice per week. It is the best British Pub in the area.

I've been to the Poacher a number of times. The food is really hit and miss. I've had some decent dishes such as chicken wings, spring rolls, etc. and then some that are really not that great. They have a good patio for a downtown location. The place has lots of potential, would like to see them improve their menu.... More

Very authentic british pub. Always alot of British people eating here or playing darts/pool. I really like their fish and chips, and I really like their patio in the summertime.

Good service and nice atmosphere. However if you are going to offer a fish dinner you should know what fish you... More

The poacher has the feel of a neighbourhood pub, because it is. You can often see the same people there. The pub is good solid pub food -- including a good "English curry" and fish and chips, and steak and mushroom pie. Their burgers are no-nonsense good burgers and they know how to cook fries well. They have a great... More

This is a great place for drinks, sometimes they have bugle band interchanging players. When we went it was very entertaining. Those people can really play those bugles plus.
