The food is pretty good. We booked the upstairs for a birthday party of about 50 people. We paid for appetizers to be put out. The platters seemed skimpy for the amount paid. We were assigned one waitress who was fantastic but definitely run off her feet since the bar and food were on the main level. I would return... More

We had fish and chips, mac and cheese and spinach dip. Food was ok nothing great to us. We wouldn't rush back to eat! My fish was little over cooked, could barely get a knife through the batter.

Bad beer, terrible food, miserable staff. Really nothing to recommend the place. Nice customers but they were from out of town.

My wife and I were joined by my son before our trips this week for drinks and a light meal. this is an old established downtown pub that I had been intending to experience for many years. It has an old country pub atmosphere that serves traditional pub fare. Service was fast, draft beer was cold and the food tasty.... More

We met here with my husband's family members (10 of us) for lunch on Dec 23rd. Both the food and service were excellent. Everyone was very pleased with their food when it was served. I like to try anything different on a menu so ordered the grilled cheese sandwich (triple brie & tomato jam) and it was excellent. We have... More

Service was fast & the food was good. My friend and I had fish & chips & it appeared that a lot of other patrons had the same idea. Menu had a lot of choices as well as some interesting desserts. The noise level & decor reminded me of a pub - a great place for a quick bite and... More

The first time I went here was a about a year and a half ago. I ordered a beer and an appetizer, shrimp I think. I was pleased. I thought this would be a good place to come with my boyfriend if we were in town together. I'm glad now we never went. My second time was for a quick... More

Myself and friends were recommend ed to eat here by locals working in the golf course. We were after a long walk and wanted something substantial and hearty. Simple decor inside, friendly waiting staff, extensive pub menu and excellent recommendation of the fish and chips by staff. The waitress said that they were renowned for it and I can see... More

Not too many people like liver and onions and even fewer places make it well. However I was pleasantly surprised by my recent visit to The Pheasant Plucker, the liver and onions was fantastic. Not sure how many people know but Tuesday night is Pub Fare night, a select part of their menu is on for $10.00, I thought at... More

I came here with a friend in the evening and sat on the patio. The patio was small, but it sufficed. We planned on going to another establishment, but it was too busy. This place was on the same street and had patio seating available. We did drinks which were good and ordered a sharing platter. The platter was a... More

Besides being the original pub in the Unique Restaurant Group, our location has the distinction of being the oldest, as well. While the exact construction date is uncertain, it is known that the music professor, R.S. Ambrose, resided here from 1876 till 1891. Along with our beautifully original British Pub atmosphere and decor, the team at The Pheasant Plucker is dedicated to delivering quality ingredients and high level service to all our guests. With original wood plank floors, rough-hewn beams, cozy fireplace, and field-stone walls, our pub exudes classic British pub charm. Come for our fish 'n' chips and stay for a tasty pint.
