We were so happy to find this place on our last trip to niagara on the lake, we have never had much luck finding food we want to go back for in NOTL. However The Garrison House changed that. Last time we tried the burger and it was delicious and memorable. This time we had fish tacos and a road... More

My wife ordered the Chicken Supreme and I had the Berkshire Pork Schnitzel. They both were perfectly prepared and uniquely created - my warm German potato salad had a great sauce and I have a new-found appreciation for "lemon caper dressing & cranberry chutney". There are lots of local beers to chose from. The ambiance was fair, as we were... More

We ate here before going to a summer concert at Jackson Triggs and I highly recommend it. The decor is funky and modern - a nice surprise considering it is in a strip-type commercial space on the highway. The floor to ceiling chalkboard behind the bar lists all their brews on tap. The menu is varied and delicious. Not cheap... More

Have been here a few times with family and just my wife and I. Love coming here, the food is always great and the staff are a pleasure. The atmosphere is lovey, always get a great feel when we come in here, especially in the evenings. Their burger is awesome!

This is our neighbourhood restaurant. We attended last Monday with many of my neighbours for their 4-6-8 night. It means they have $4.00 snacks, $6.00 wine/beer and $8.00 apps. Good value for these cold Monday nights. The snacks/apps had a Far East and India flavour to them. Great way to spend a Monday. The place was packed!

I was taking out a friend out for lunch. We had been going to eat at The Pie Plate in Virgil, but found that that restaurant was closed--even though the Internet said it was open today. We were quite disappointed and were driving toward a Niagara-on-the-Lake. We noticed a new development that had a restaurant/pub. We decided to look at... More

We were a total of four adults and one 14 year old. All five were coming in for lunch and drinks. The 14 year old had a half finished green tea from another establishment and the manager rudely insisted that she sit outside until she finished it or get rid of it if she wanted to come in. Needless to... More

Thank you. I hope another independent business was so kind as to let you bring in your big corporations business into there establishment. Tim Hortons serves food as well, if they are that great why didn't you eat there. A green tea would have probably cost you less with us. And the rude manager was actually a protective owner. More

Recently had lunch with a colleague at the Garrison House and was pleasantly surprised. We made what could be described as pretty unoriginal choices a hamburger and chips and a Ham sandwich special. The result was a pleasant surprise. My hamburger was one of the best I have had locally and the french fries were excellent. My colleague was equally impressed with the... More

The Garrison House is the perfect after work place to grab a drink and a bite to eat. The interior is so inviting being an old house with the window frames in the middle of the restaurant still visible. And there's a long harvest table that lets friends gather. Try their award-winning mussels! So fresh and delicious. Not to mention... More

We have had lunch here a number of times this past year, the staff are always pleasant and the food is good. It is a pricier for a burger but is worth it if you include the ambiance.
