I've been to this pub and number of times over the years. What makes it special are the views and surroundings, and the beautiful building itself. Today, we were a larger group (14) who went for dinner and drinks after work. The beers are great,...More

Beautiful way to spend the afternoon on the patio. My wait at the front to get the host to come was alittle long(5-7 mins). However it was busy. The bartender was excellent. He recommended the smoke duck poutine, was fantastic. Love how you ask about...More

We stopped in at the Brew Pub after our visit to the War Museum. My partner ordered the special of the day, Ribs - they were terrible! The were overcooked, tough and very dry! When he mentioned the poor quality to the waiter he responded...More

The atmosphere and beer here, goes without saying, are excellent. Service was very friendly and overall we had a great time. The food was prepared well, but the menu was small and very average. Huge food potential here, but the menu needs some work.

Group of six descended here, quickly seated, the server had us in stitches all evening, with her witty comments. Really good beer and great food. Nice setting

Located in a nice spot along the Ottawa River and in an old revitalized brick building, we were hoping for a nice night out. Although it didn't look particularly busy when we arrived, we had to wait almost an hour for service in the very...More

Disappointing night at Mill Street. We had been before and were eager to return. We were told the wait would be 45 minutes, which was not a problem at all considering it was Canada Day. We went upstairs for a drink and the bartender was...More

For the record I do not normally complain about the restaurant service industry. BUT I must make an exception. Waited two hours for delivery of our meal order which we NEVER received ! While others ordered later than us, received their meals, ate, paid and...More

Description
Mill Street took on the vibrant Ottawa craft beer scene in 2002, choosing a 140 year old historic gristmill to bring a brewpub to the capital. Get both a historic and craft beer experience with breathtaking seats overlooking the Riviere des Outaouais, an unbeatable patio and beers brewed on site, exclusive to Ottawa Brewpub visitors. About Mill Street Brewery: With an earth-friendly philosophy in mind, Original Organic Lager was the first beer we ever made, and the first ever organic beer brewed in Canada. Soon after we impressed curious craft drinkers with Tankhouse Ale, a uniquely flavour-forward brew for its time. In 2006, we exceeded the capacity of our modest brewhouse and made the decision to expand the brewery, converting the original brewery space into a brewpub. 2012 saw us take on Ottawa's vibrant craft beer scene, opening a second brewpub in a historic old gristmill on the banks of the Ottawa River. We certainly never lost our dedication to our craft and passion for pushing the envelope. Our ever-expanding portfolio now includes over 60 unique beers earning us well over 100 awards, including 3-time Canadian Brewery of the Year. That's our story up till now. Who knows where our "Great Beer" adventure will take us next?
