I had the opportunity to visit this quaint little restaurant Nov 2016. They offered true old fashioned customer service. Our lunch was homemade, fresh and delicious! We were not rushed at all and were able to enjoy a very comfortable relaxing lunch. I would recommend trying their Poached Peach Salad and Seafood Crepe! I look forward to my next trip... More

Based on the reviews on Trip Advisor I stopped in here for lunch after a business meeting . The quiche was out of this world - light, fluffy - delicious. Desserts were definitely worth the calories. (Try the pecan tarts.) Our server was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I definitely would visit again.

We tried this place last year while on a drive, as recommended on tripadvisor. We didn't have reservations, but managed to find a table. We were not disappointed. So while on a day trip to see fall colours last week, I called on the way and made reservations. Once again we were very pleased with our lunch. I had a... More

We got there in the nick of time and without a reservation. Shortly after we arrived they had to turn people away. Even with the restaurant being busy, we received our food within a good amount of time. My Rueben was delicious and I love how they presented their side salad (horizontal sliced cucumbers surrounded the lettuce in the middle)... More

Walked into this very homey place to be greeted by the cheery and friendly women working there. Food was very tasty -- quiche was surprisingly light (tho still filling), and apple crepe had great flavour. Nice selection of teas.

In my view, this is the best , most consistent , restaurant in Peterborough. There are new lunch specials every week, great service, lovely setting, and fabulous food, teas, and desserts. The bacon jam is delicious and high tea is worth doing at least once. I have loved everything I eat there. I would give it a 4.5 if this... More

I recently had lunch at The Magic Rolling Pin, and the experience was top-notch, starting with the ease booking reservations online. The new Fall menu has just been offered, and it is full of tempting, delicious dishes that feature the bounty of Fall harvest. I had the poached peach salad, and it was incredibly delicious! The salad was definitely a... More

With my Canadian Family we went to the "Magic Rolling Pin" Resturant in Peterborough, wonderful "cottage "atmosphere, very friendly people and a very warm welcome. My meal (of which there are many to choose from) was ham and cheese crepe, a good choice for me. For dessert I had raspberry scone with cream and homemade raspberry jelly. All food was... More

I recently visited the Magic Rolling Pin for a work luncheon and was pleasantly surprised! One of Peterborough’s hidden gems. Elegant yet casual setting. The food was amazing & their desserts are homemade on site. They even offer catering services and take home meals that you can pre order. Even more amazing was that our lovely server remembered all of... More

I recently had old friends make a first time visit to Peterborough, ON. Hmmm where to go for lunch. I had been to the Magic Rolling Pin a number of years ago and remembered that I had enjoyed it. It is located in a repurposed old residence and serves lunch and high tea only. It is not licensed for liquor... More
