Buoyed by the previous reviews we decided to give this a try since it was so close to our motel. Steak dinner for 10.95 and you get what you pay for small slice of meat with a large piece of fat and gristle attached. This modest little restaurant situated in the Shoreline Hotel on Cumberland St. still has a very reasonably priced breakfast. The food is excellent and the restaurant is embellished with original paintings by local artists. The service is very good and for the money, you won't find a better deal anywhere in town!

The Beacon has established itself as a 'go to' breakfast destination in Thunder Bay. Friendly servers and experienced kitchen staff make for a delicious meal and pleasant dining experience. Good deals on daily lunch features, your traditional soups and sandwiches, usually around 7 or 8 bucks.

Home style food (soups, sandwiches), daily specials, great pies and grilled persians (if you're not familiar -go check 'em out!). Original local artwork adorns the walls inside the restaurant, with an old 'Wurlitzer' jukebox, along with a friendly staff to serve you,... More
