Its hard enough to swallow when a restaurant charges double or slightly above double the LCBO price of a bottle of wine, but when its triple the price, well...that just shows no respect for a patrons' loyalty. I'm a person, not a wallet. The decor and ambiance are wonderful. The food is nothing special. This place is without a doubt... More

Booked a table for four on Open Table. When we arrived there were three unoccupied tables within sight. We were told that because we booked on line that our table was upstairs. I said to the lady that we would like one of the unoccupied tables and were told that they were reserved. So I say - but I have... More

This restaurant has been in my neighbourhood for a number of years and I just discovered it. What a gem. Great service, ambiance and delicious food. I had the special of the day pasta - perfection, and my friend had the lamb: plentiful and delicious. I can't wait to return.

Trio is consistently a great Italian restaurant. Great food, great service, and never too loud. I have recommended many friends and family and the feedback is always very positive. I highly recommend Trio :)

Great local pizzeria and casual Italian restaurant. Good service, reasonable prices, tasty. The carpaccio was delicious and we shared a pizza. Bueno.

We generally visit Trio about once a month and have been going there for over 5 years. Never disappointed! Food and service is always great. On our last visit, I had the carpaccio appetizer and the lamb chops on risotto. Fantastic! Lamb was cooked perfectly and the risotto was excellent. We will definitely be back!

Trio is always an amazing place to go. We went out with another couple at 9:30pm. Not only they were open, they welcomed us in and served great food with great service. Everything is delicious. Noquis and Tiramisu are my classic favourites. Delicious!

I would consider myself a regular at this restaurant. It is our favourite local eatery and we are never disappointed. Some of out favourite apps are the burrata, beef carpaccio, mussels and the funghi trifolati is a must for mushroom lovers. The pastas are always good and the pizza is some of the best. All mains are good too -... More

Slow, surly service. Rubbery fried calamari. Ravioli was stuffed with awful-tasting meat. Bread was soaked in oil. Cannot believe that the place was relatively full. Will not go back.

Staying in North End

Neighbourhood Profile
North End
The North End is a nucleus of specialty food restaurants and shops, especially around its Mount Pleasant Village area. Frequented by antiquers for its numerous collectable shops, furniture spots, and oddity stores, the North End is a maverick of the quaint and quality. Vintage toy stores, accessory shops, and cinemas welcome perusers to step back in time, while the wide pedestrian squares and the large medical and business community inject it with a dose of modernity. With numerous cafes and Toronto's greatest number of independent booksellers, it isn't uncommon to see folks in this area at their leisure, reading outdoors and in eateries, and taking life a bit more slowly – even if it's only during their lunch break.
