We decided to try this restaurant out today after reading the reviews on this site and we were not disappointed. We arrived at 3:00 on a Saturday and were seated right away. The wine is a bit pricey but the beer is comparable to other restaurants if not a bit cheaper, so my husband and I had beer and our... More

Great Pizzas, our favorite is the Margherita ! This place takes no reservations so it is a hassle to get seated especially on the weekends. Service isn't always great, but the pizzas are worth it!

It had been a couple years since I had been here. In the area so took my daughter for dinner tonight. Arrived 7:45, starving and managed to snag a coveted table. Fresh bread and olive oil/balsamic dip arrives quickly. Not pushy about drinks...everyone was cool with a bottle of Toronto's finest tap water. Ordered Rocco's salad with a crispy egg...unique... This restaurant is very handy for the Lower Ossington Theatre. You can't book but we enjoyed a very nice glass of Sicilian red while we waited at the bar. The atmosphere was very busy but casual and welcoming. We got a table as staff predicted within 10mins of arriving. The waitress was very pleasant and knowledgeable. We ordered several shared... Some restaurants rest on their laurels and have ups and downs and let things slide a bit. Not this place. Consistently great food and good service every time. Thanks for giving Toronto such an awesome place to chill. Love you Libretto! ;-)

But don't ignore the meatballs and arugula salad. Perfect appetizer before the pizza comes out. Great atmosphere. Service is quick!

Not only delicious salad, fantastic pizza, and great service, but if you have the lunch special it's great value for the money too. If you like arugula then have the arugula salad, with pear, Parmesan and oil, it's delicious. Pizza is fantastic, very similar to what you get in Italy. Soooo tasty. You also get bread, for dipping in oil/vinegar.... More

We visited this place for lunch. The pizzas taste amazing, really thin how pizzas should be. Would recommend

Though the pizza and salads were good, the price seemed a little steep for the portions. We would not return.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
