I'm here in Toronto for business and the staff at the hotel recommended Bua Thai when I asked about a Thai restaurant close by. I've been to my fair share of Thai restaurants so I had some idea of what I was looking for on the menu. This restaurant dis not disappoint. The options were as I would have expected.... More

This place is nice , service is so friendly and fast. Their food is good too but the pad thai is not the best, too big pieces of chicken . Their beef and spring rolls are good. Give it a try

The food was fresh, well seasoned and the sauces were particularly tasty. It's as close to fresh as you can get-crunchy veggies and great fish/meat. We got the Bua Platter, the Wonton soup, and the Yellow Curry (Pad thai section)-incredible! Enough for two people and very satisfying. We only spent $35 between two people (before tip)! I felt great (not... More

My go to take out lunch near work. Best lunch specials in the area. Their pad Thai and hot and sour soup is definitely the best around. A+ would recommend to anyone.

There are very few high quality Thai restaurants in the suburbs. This one is an excellent neighbourhood spot for quality and taste. Granted, I wouldn't call Bua Thai "authentic" (having been to Thailand) but I would call it way tastier than other the typical Thai restaurants in Toronto that have soggy vegetables, ketchup based pad thai, and heavy cornstarch sauces.... Food here is great and best of all the take out option is super quick. Despite a recent make over the restaurant itself does not make you want to be there, so use the take out option and enjoy some great food. Pricing is very reasonable

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
