School is a place that I have heard to be delicious for brunch in the city. I always see the most decadent photos of their pancakes and other starchy-delicious plates on Instagram; however, due to allergies I cannot eat them (wish I could though). Regardless, I did a little bit of research before my visit there with 2 girlfriends for... More

This place is amazing, food is creative and delicious and they even have some cookies and other baked goods that you can purchase and take home with you. The line is really long on the weekends and they won't seat you until your whole party has arrived, but I think it's worth it! They play cartoons on the TVs and... More

Super neat setting with a really cool menu. Had the flap jacks with maple syrup and wild berries - to die for! Great place to hang with friends and have some really great food. A must see.

We found this place by accident (using the Google maps 'near us' app). We loved it! The wait staff are excellent, the food even better! We had the French Toast (incredible!) and The Safe Bet. I think our favourite was the side of bacon. I've never had bacon like that before...by far the best ever!!!

They work well at providing an atmosphere with small tables, the school bell on opening and lots of sweet school touches. We liked that. The brunch menu was just right... not too many items, but a wide enough choice. The portion sizes however were shockingly small. Half a waffle with a scrambled egg, eight blueberries, two miniscule bits of bacon... More

We had heard so much about the place, we'd seen the pictures, but the experience was beyond expectations. The snap, crackle, pop french toast was incredible! We also had blueberry pancakes and the hash brown poutine. Service was great, ambiance was comfortable and the food was worth the price and the calories.

Very trendy and hip place on western edge of Toronto's Liberty Village. Love the ambience and nice attention to design and detail. The food was great. Tons of fun for brunch. The choices are both cool to see and well prepared. The scones are also great as an extra. Please note: School gets very busy for weekend breakfast by trendy... More

Great brunch experience. Location has lots of parking, small line waiting for the 09:30 opening. Upside was the unmistakable smell of pancakes and maple syrup. We were seated immediately when the bell rang, and our server was pleasant and attentive. Interesting menu - the staples with a bit of a twist. Had a great time, good food, good value for... More

Came here for brunch because the original restaurant we wanted to try was actually closed. Wait time was roughly half an hour for 2, no complaints there. They currently have a holiday brunch menu. Tried the chicken and waffles and the hashbrown poutine, along with some of the juices they offered. $6 for the juice that didnt really taste fresh... More

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
The go-to area for new business start-ups, the spry and creative persona of the West End thrives along its streets. Its independent boutiques, galleries, restaurants, and shops offer brands that can't be found elsewhere. Buildings with ground floor consumer spaces sport up-top artist's lofts, and the West End attracts artists, designers, and fashion industry professionals to its living quarters. It is in the cross-hairs of gentrification, but still resisting it with ironic relish. Hot deals can still be found here on furniture and knick-knacks,. Its call to culinary glory is in its well-priced homemade Polish food, hosting Toronto's go-to spots for hot pierogis and cold borscht. High Park, the largest green space in the city, is a place for dreamers and poets to wander and rest, not to mention a number of energetic actors staging outdoor plays in the summertime.
