Went for Taco Tuesday (half price tacos) was amazing! Great food, very authentic and friendly staff. Definitely would recommend, whether it is a solo meal or a group meal.

Went here on a Friday night with a small group of people and the food and service was great. Ordered chicken tacos with beans on the side and they tasted like they were straight out of Mexico. Also tried the empanadas that has a salsa on it . You choose the intensity, and medium was a little spicy for me... More

This small local Mexican restaurant is busy especially on Friday nights so get there before 7 pm to secure a table. The service is efficient and cheerful. The Red wine sangria was palatable but lacked in taste. Chopped small apple was the only fruit in the sangria and there was an abundance of ice cubes. Orange slices would have improved... More

Small place. Only a few tables. Restaurant is clean and staff is friendly. Food is good and authentic but not amazing. We tried the fish and cactus tacos. And we also had a guacamole as a starter. Good selection of Mexican beers.

My bride and I tried his place based on the recommendation from true tv show "You Gotta Eat Here." It did not disappoint. We had the Chorizo Enchiladas which were very tasty. We also had the Tortilla soup and the Cactus salad. Very fresh and equally tasty. The ambience is very casual and cozy. Definitely a place that we will... More

My friends live in this area so when I come to visit we often walk here for dinner. It is warm and cozy. Sometimes the tables can be a bit too close together making it difficult to get in and out of the seats. You'll receive tortilla chips and dip to start. Definitely get the guacamole, it is delicious. The... More

This sweet Mexican hotspot isn't far from where I live. It's got a great summer patio in the back! Their Guacamole with homemade Tortillas are a nice opener to a meal. Good with a drink. My favourite are the yummy burritos with beans chicken beef rice and/or salad. The fish tacos are a nice change to the menus but I'd... More

Visited Sedona late December and decided to grab a bite in Tlaquepaque, a little artist enclave in the south end of Sedona. We reserved a table and it was ready right on time. The menu is quite large so there is enough for everyone. The food is solid Mexican and overall quite good. It is a small place so make... More

I had the veggie empanadas and my friends had the tacos. We devoured them all. The empanadas are fried but not too greasy, and very flavuorful. We had 2 orders of the guacamole, which I also recommend.

Staying in York-Crosstown

Neighbourhood Profile
York-Crosstown is a sleepy area of Toronto dotted gorgeously with hills and farmland, stately homes and parks. An affluent district in parts, the stately houses at Baby Point along Jane Street are especially breathtaking, and make for a lovely wander on a clear day. Parks are bountiful in York-Crosstown, which makes it a vibrant area for outdoor play and sports, providing a break from the hustle of Toronto's busy, jam-packed city center. For a little spice after a walk in the park, the Little Jamaica area of York sports cheap, authentic food from the Caribbean. This area is restful and more orientated towards outdoor activity and the exploration of nature.
