Went in famished and ordered a veggie pho with noodles, medium size, plus an appetizer, so I can fill up. That was my only mistake - couldn't even touch the appetizer, the soup was so huge and delicious, all my hunger went away and then some, could barely finish. Prices are amazing (soup was $7.50 before tax), the order came... More

Relatively economical Pho for the location - nothing to write home for sure. Location is good, but the restaurant environment is just an average typical Pho place Food is ok, people are nice (most of time)

This place was just down the street from my hotel, the Double Tree, and I stopped in around 3 for a late lunch. It wasn't the best pho I've ever had (the broth was a bit weak) but it was fast and cheap, so I was happy. The shrimp egg roll was quite tasty.

Almost only worth 3/5, but it was rescued by a simple menu, easy food and great taste. I think they could do a little better with the time the pho cooks (still not the deep flavours I have had at some restaurants), but definitely worth a try. Simple set up as well, which may make it feel like a cafe... More

This unassuming Vietnamese restaurant serves delicious Pho and other dishes. We tried a vegetarian pho which was heaped with vegetables and also tofu and rice noodles in a delicious soup. The service was quick and the food tasty. the price was also reasonable.

I enjoyed a relaxed dinner here last week. The service was fine and the food well-priced. The pho was delicious because it was full of MSG so if you don't like MSG in your food I'm afraid you will need to look elsewhere. Otherwise a pleasant, low key restaurant good for a casual meal.

Ate here over a year ago and returned for take out lunch. I had the grilled pork and spring roll vermicelli which is good but i wish it had more fresh herb garnishing. Regardless, food was good but not cheap.

We enjoyed an authentic lunch at this restaurant, including the vegetarian noodle soup, Stir fry lemongrass chicken and spring rolls, and pad thai with beef. The portions were generous and the food was excellent!

Probably wouldn't return here. The food was okay but not great and it's not like it is super cheap or anything. Service was okay but a little confusing and the 1 waitress seemed super busy. The spring rolls were actually really good though.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
