Love this O&B restaurant. Location is great, patio is amazing and the food is consistently delicious. I can't say enough about how delicious the mushroom soup is...just perfection! I went with friends and we shared a few dishes: roasted beet salad (can't say enough good things about this, beets were so awesome), funghi pizza and prosciutto pizza. Perfect amount of... More

This, not unlike most of the O&B restaurants, is top shelf. The drinks, especially the Manhattans and the Old Fashioned, are well crafted. The food is delicious and well prepared. The service is amazing from the time you see Sheldon at the front, until you leave. Such a great experience and we've been back many times.

The oddly brusk welcome clearly was a sign of things to come. This place should be polished, and it was anything but. The servers were totally unaware of who was having what, and didn't even know what they were serving. Food was brought to the table, and then taken away when the server realized it was for another table. The... More

It probably didn't help that we we were seated next to the washrooms, but even putting that aside, this is a restaurant that just does not seem to be firing on all cylinders. The service was good, but not outstanding. The special Mediterranean menu currently on offer sounds better when suggested by wait staff than it actually is in reality.... More

Average fare with average prices. The food is nothing tremendous to make note of but it fits the bill for a quick bite of home-style fare that's walking distance to the ACC.

We tried a variety of apps and all have different mains and nothing was great but nothing was horrible. If you enjoy middle of the road overpriced food then this would be ok. I would skip it and head to one of the other many great restaurants in the area.

I haven’t been to O&B for awhile and on my last visit, I wasn’t happy since the meal was too spicy at the Bayview location. But, I really like this downtown location What I liked: 1. Extremely helpful – the staff helped us store luggage in their closet 2. Two nice areas – casual or fine dining – nice benches/booths... More

I was looking forward to going to Oliver& Bonacini after our show but left feeling disappointed. Staff were friendly, service acceptable. The menu had a lot of nice choices but the four of us all decided on the mac and cheese with different variations re bacon or chicken. What prompted my decision on the mac and cheese was that I... Went here just before the Leafs game for the first time. We didn't sit in the restaurant but ate in the bar instead. It was very noisy in the bar, the service was very very good but had a hard time talking. The menu was very interesting and the food was good. I would go here again but not right... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
