The four of us wanted to try something different and looked for Venezuelan restaurants. There are no large sit-down comfortable restaurants around Toronto that we could find. This restaurant seemed to be the best known and well rated. It was a very cute, trendy looking restaurant with a glass garage type door that opened to let in a lot of... More

This was my second visit and I really enjoyed the food, the espresso and the red wine. I have celiac disease and the staff here are aware of cross-contamination issues so I know I will get a safe meal here. The arepa is so delicious! I also enjoyed dessert. The staff are friendly and the service is good. It is... More

Great tasting arepa and delicious cachapa, the sweetness of the corn pancake and the nice pork shoulder are just made to be together. Great hot sauce and delicious home made condiments. However, the price is too steep for what you get, I'd rather head to la Carnitas for amazing Mexican and leave this Venezuelan tastiness for days I'm feeling like... More

Nice atmosphere and pleasant staff. It's exposed brick and a bit artsy. We came in for coffee and dessert on a Sunday night and based on recommendations had the très léchés which was excellent. If you are familiar with Indian dessert, it's similar to raas malai. I want to come back and try brunch here.

We stumbled on this restaurant on a cold December night and were thrilled with the food and atmosphere. First time trying Venezuelan food and Mmmm, it won't be the last.

This Venezuelan cafe is delicious. Before arepa I had never tried arepa but have fallen in love with it. My go to is to is avocado with queso fresca. The garlic sauce is a must add. They also have fresh passion fruit juice, which is my absolute favourite. I've also tried their empanadas, but they're not the best.

Food excellent, service above average. But when it comes to paying via debit they have 3 options 18% 20% and 25%. That's freaking presumptuous. I'm never going back to this place based on principal. Queen street has tons of excellent places where a 15% or higher tip is deserved and not expected. $150 incl tip for 5 people for Arepas... More

I love eating here. The arepa and everything else on the menu is great. The setting is relaxed and pleasant and the staff is friendly and attentive. Sometimes when other downtown places are slammed at lunch, I'll come here because it never has that frenzied loud lunch rush. I am told the food is authentic. It is very tasty and... More

Visited Arepa with a friend who suggested it. Was a bit out of the way, but thought I'd try anyway. Glad I did. Great food, even better service. Highly recommend trying Arepa Cafe.

Never had arepas before but really enjoyed the crunchy corn breads and trying some of the fillings on offer...the chicken avocado ones particularly good. Very good value too with each one coming in at around ten dollars. One sufficient for small appetite and two for hungrier person.
