Very pleasant night out for three brothers who hadn't seen each other in a while, and one daughter/niece who's a regular and recommended Enoteca Sociale for the family social summit. As stated by others, even for a Friday, parking wasn't an issue. Our server was very pleasant and attentive without being intrusive. The Cacio e Pepe and Bucatini were very... More

I dined here with 12 business associates. We had our meal in the private wine cellar and indulged in the 65.00 set menu. Everything on the menu was delicious, the portions were perfect. The service was excellent! Though it was an interesting and unique/high end experience - I felt there was still very good value. Will certainly be hosting business... More

Love love love this place. I wake up at night craving their arancini, trust me it might happen to you too! Go and try their cacio&pepe, but then come back with friends and share all the pasta dishes.. you won't be disappointed. Pasta is made fresh every day, you don't find it that often!

The three of us decided to have our New Year's Eve dinner here. We had been to Enoteca several times a few years ago and I remembered it as a decent Italian restaurant. Unfortunately, most of the dishes we had that night were just not good, with one of them being inedible. For the NYE's dinner, you could order from... More

Great little italian place - pizzas but so much more. Food and service was great. Decor is casual. We had the squash pasta - yum. The cacia et pepe pasta was out of this world.

My friend phoned to remind me of our 25 years of friendship that had been highlighted by a trip to Italy! To celebrate we headed for an Italian Restaurant having chosen ENOTECA SOCIALE that boasts "Roman Cuisine". Reservations were made for a Friday night, parking was about a 5 minute walk from the car park. We were early for our... More

Lots of flavour, varied menu accommodates varied Italian food tastes. Excellent beet salad, tortelli stuffed with sweet squash wad a small light entrée but very flavourful. Others always order arancini, tuna, beef crisp, bucatini, and barolo matto and are never disappointed. Aleays share s rich sticky toffee pudding. Server Nola very helpful with wine selection.

Really enjoyed a recent dinner with a friend at Enoteca Sociale! Even at 8pm it was busy but we managed to get a seat at the bar. Service from the bartender was excellent - attentive but not intrusive. Food did not disappoint - I had the rigatoni with braised beef cheeks, my friend had the tomato bucatini. Pasta was delicious... More

We recently had dinner at the bar. The interior is rather fussy in a cozy basement/seventies steakhouse kinda way, working its own magic. Our server/bartender was attentive and friendly. He did forget to place the order for the chicken liver starter we ordered, but we were also not charged for it. We both ordered pasta dishes, and they were excellent.... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
