Visited for lunch. It was jam packed but luckily we had made reservations. Food was excellent but because they were so busy it was loud and not the best atmosphere, in my opinion, for a business lunch.

We had eaten dinner here before with friends and decided it would be a good stop for lunch. We had a nice booth by the windows and excellent service. The sandwiches were very good and served promptly.

Went to Joey at the Easton Centre for lunch before heading to the theatre for a matinee. It was recommended to me by a friend and it was the best dining experience I've had in a very long time. We were a party of 10 and so we definitely made a reservation ahead of time. Food was awesome, drinks were... More

Was in Toronto for meetings at Queens Park. Looked up Tripadvisor for something close to the Marriott. Chose Joeys. Front door staff were very pleasant and accommodating. Particularly Maria. She was so bubbly and kept checking back as I had to wait for a table. Had the blue cheese and steak. Nicely done. The crisp mashed potato rolls were a... More

Discovered the restaurant while walking through Eaton Center. There wasn't much of a wait and we were seated in a reasonable time period. The helpful server recommended their daily, fresh brine chicken and it was indeed a great meal ( I went back 2 days later for it). I ordered the bistro plate which was a well seasoned and tasty... Was starving after flight and found this place that caters for vegetarian and carnivores .... the veggie butter chicken is superb and the meat burger was really good according to the meat eater. Staff are knowledgeable about the food and friendly. Overall a great place to eat fresh food at reasonable prices

Went to Joey Eaton Centre for dinner. There were quite a few people waiting to be seated. The staff came around offering mini sliders, chicken focaccia and a taste of beer - thought that was good customer service. Waited for about 1/2 hour but when seated, our waiter was very efficient. We had the Calamari Fritti, for appetizer and the... More

Upscale casual, downtown Toronto. The first JOEY to hit the streets of downtown Toronto. Located just off Yonge on Dundas, this place is a work of art - exposed brick walls, open-air dining, crazy custom lighting and the Enomatic wine system. We could go on, but you should come and see it for yourself.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
