We grabbed a bite to eat for lunch when we had finished shopping. The kids were starving and we found there to be plenty of variety to choose from...however, I was reluctant to sit down at any of the tables. The tops of the tables were filthy and clearly needed a good wipe down. There was a lot of dropped... More

The Urban Eatery is located inside the Toronto Eaton Centre. The shopping centre itself is fine, however the Urban Eatery lets the whole place down! If you are someone who cares about cleanliness and clean floors and tables, like myself, this place is definitely not for you. The only positive to say about this place is there is a great... More

Nice place to grab a bite, and nice if you are with a group and want different things to eat. Large variety, they truly have it all from Pizza and Burgers to Seafood and Tai. Only 2 things I didn't like about the experience, I had gone there expecting it to be similar to Rich Tree where they give you... More

Being vegan makes finding healthy choices difficult but I was pleasantly surprised with the variety at Urban Eatery. Their cupcakes look better then they taste (I prefer my own baking personally) but the line moved fast and the food comes out quick. Hard to beat when you're on the go exploring the city.

I've written about this "food court" before, but a few years have passed and I wanted to see if it still was as great as it was before: It is! Good for the single person or family, you have many choices of cuisines. Best of all, it remains well-maintained, clean, and eco friendly. Leave your tray at one of the... More

I like how it is organized. It is quick, wide selection, fresh... Yes, crowded, but never had to wait to find a free table.

We always hit up the Urban Eatery! It is a great stop for families or groups with a variety of eating needs. Everyone can find something and the prices are very reasonable.

Something for everyone, nice tables, and china for eat-in. Located on lower level of Eaton Centre, it is probably the most convenient spot to eat after visit to Nathan Phillips Square. Meditteranean food kiosk was excellent!

I always enjoy eating at Liberty Noodle here. The chili chicken udon, bulgolgi, kimchi and edamame are excellent.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
