My girlfriend and I came here for Valentines day. The food was very good quality and tasted delicious. The service was great. Our waiter was very nice and helped us with the menu by giving us recommendations of some favourites on the menu. Our food came fairly quickly (about 10-15minutes after ordering) and our waiter came by frequently to make... More

Food all came wrong. We asked no pork, the burger came with bacon.Asked for onion soup with no cheese , as one person is lactose intolerant, it came with cheese .Sent them both back.Took an extra half an hour to redo my husband's sandwich without bacon. We were all finished when it came.My beet salad was very small, not like a... More

My wife and I ate there Friday night. We ordered the garlic edemame as a starter. I had the field mushroom pasta as my main course. We then shared the fried donuts for dessert. They were supposed to served warm, with warm interior. However, they were served mostly cold. We told our server that they needed to be returned. The... More

My visit to Milestone’s was not planned, however the restaurant looked inviting. I asked to be seated along the windows. These tables offer a great view of all of the action in the square. I enjoyed the Mediterranean Goat Cheese Platter as a starter. The goat cheese was accompanied by focaccia and roasted garlic and fig jam. So delicious! For... More

Went out for dinner for New Years Eve. I had made a reservation quite a few hours in advance, though when we got there, they said they had us seated in the "extended dining room" - which essentially was just tables outside of the restaurant, overlooking the loud and poorly lit lobby of 10 Dundas East. I wasn't too happy... More

This review is for the Milestones on Queensway/Islington in Etobicoke, but the listing didn't come up. I had the Chicken Club Sandwich for the first time, and my friend had the Chicken Sandwich. Both were excellent. We share a piece of cheesecake after the meal, which was very good as well. Service was very friendly, but a bit on the... More

Popped into this Milestones location after seeing a movie in the same building. It had a good layout and the noise level was about average for restaurants of this type. We had good attentive table service. The calamari appetizer was very good. The rest of the meal was fine but not exceptional. The young woman hostess who brought us to... More

The atmosphere is a bit hectic, with a high constant noise level. The lighting is subdued and the decorations OK. The food was good; not great. My wife had a chicken and shrimp noodle dish, which she thoroughly enjoyed. I had a burger and fries; passable. It is a good place to eat if you are headed to the Mirvish... More

Had family functions here several times and this location is consistently sub par versus others I've been too. It appears to lower its standards to its surrounding clientele- which is movie-goers. Food is below average to almost terrible. Fish over cooked. Calamari appetizer is of the cheap sports bar variety - heavily breaded, mushy and tasteless. Family members steak had... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
