We enjoyed having breakfast at this midtown spot. They have an extensive menu and I wish I knew that the chalkboard offered choices that are not listed in the menu. The prices were standard and to be expected for Toronto. The food was good and the best was the friendly service we received. Too much sun-dried tomato in my eggs... More

A small diner that does breakfast well. I had eggs Natasha, two silver dollar pancakes with a bit of syrup topped with smoked salmon, hollandaise, sour cream and black caviar! Absolutely delicious. My wife had a spinach, goats cheese, and sundried tomato omelette. Absolutely no shortage of fillings! Only small observation, the home fries while very tasty were slightly undercooked.

We visited for a late breakfast just after 11 AM on a weekday. The place was completely empty, except for one other occupied table. The menu is quite varied, but we were focused on breakfast. And, despite all the choices, we ended up having the all day breakfast. One had over easy eggs, bacon and whole wheat toast. The other... More

My wife and I ate here on a Sunday morning. It was packed so it took us 15 mins or so to get a seat. A young couple of girls were in front of us. When they came to seat them and us the waiter asked if the younger couple minded taking the high table. When they said sure he... More

We got there on a holiday, at 2:15pm (they close at 3pm), after looking for parking for too long of a while. Parking is a huge problem. The nearest Green P is almost a kilometer away and the street around the place are crowded or do not allow for street parking. Maybe it was the hour, but the staff seemed... More

I've visited here several times now with different friends. Each and every time we're greeted promptly and the food is always delicious! It's a family run business and they take a lot of pride in what they do. If you're going on a weekend, try to get there before 10am, otherwise you'll be waiting in line. The diner is not... More

Dependable and kid friendly, this is a great spot for an all day breakfast. Good food served with a smile. Gotta love it.

We went as a family of four to Hazel's diner. It was our first time there. The food was quite good and a lot of it. I had their Hazel's hash which had a little kick to it with the jalapeno. The rest of the family enjoyed their food as well. We did order dessert (i know it's breakfast but... More

Went with my family, full portions and great food and the prices for what you get are reasonable. I recommend you try it.

Sunny fall day in Toronto. My son back from Montreal. We wanted to have brunch at a local diner in Toronto. A bit of line up, but quick service and friendly atmosphere eased us to our table where we got it with coffee and juice almost immediately. The day begins! Basic 2 egg/ toast/ bacon/sausage breakfast is good, omelettes are... More

Staying in North End

Neighbourhood Profile
North End
The North End is a nucleus of specialty food restaurants and shops, especially around its Mount Pleasant Village area. Frequented by antiquers for its numerous collectable shops, furniture spots, and oddity stores, the North End is a maverick of the quaint and quality. Vintage toy stores, accessory shops, and cinemas welcome perusers to step back in time, while the wide pedestrian squares and the large medical and business community inject it with a dose of modernity. With numerous cafes and Toronto's greatest number of independent booksellers, it isn't uncommon to see folks in this area at their leisure, reading outdoors and in eateries, and taking life a bit more slowly – even if it's only during their lunch break.
