Got the lamb, chicken and paneer roti.....all were terrific, albeit a bit too greasy and difficult to digest for our taste...the taste was like nothing we have experienced in any Indian places in the USA.

Genuine Indian Punjabi food if you are craving for in Toronto, this is the place you should visit. Quantity and quality is great. Roti is of a big size, so if you are not a good eater, better share one roti between two. Mango lassi is tasty.

We love roti but were seriously disappointed by this place. They didn't seem prepared for a long lines on a beautiful Sunday afternoon and we waited 25 minutes for our saag paneer roti. When it arrived, we were glad for our decision to share; the portion is quite large. The roti itself was too doughy and (we found out later)... More

Having been to Trinidad and Tobago several times I have become completely obsessed with finding roti as I travel. Toronto is a good place to look because of the diversity of the city. For lunch one day we decided to take a walk to the Harbor area to check out the Indian Roti House. This is a very small place... More

Small roti store, but no fast food. You should preorder via their app if you can. Rotis taste great and are a real deal.

Across the street from Harbourfront's bridge to Williams Cafe and Brewhouse or the Radisson, on the North side of Queens Quay, is Roti's Northern Indian house. It's authentic (like growing up in my Punjabi friends' homes) but spicy, even for Indian standards, so ask for mild to be safe. My House Special Chili ($12.99 in chicken or get paneer cheese)... I ordered a veggie roti and called in advance as others suggested. It was ready in 20 as promised and the flavours of my spicy spinach, potato and chick pea roti were really good. I was slightly disappointed by the roti bread - it was very thin. I'm pretty sure you could not pick up to eat if you wanted... More

The food we got was tasty, but they post a disclaimer that they are not "fast food" and it's true. 25 min to get our diners and they weren't busy. Also not many tables. Locals preorder and pick up which is the better way to go.

Whenever we visit Toronto, we make it a point to stop here. I'm thinking about this place all of the time. The wait can be a bit long, but it is TOTALLY worth it. Try calling ahead if you can. So good!!!

Ate there twice and both times enjoyed the rich tasting food. Not a bad price and you get a good portion. Recommend the butter chicken roti.

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
