Cool little neighbourhood gas station that serves smoked BBQ sandwiches and other eats. Love the aesthetics and the retro candy confectionery!!

I've visited this place during your trip to Toronto. It's in an old gas station and still has that feel. The barbecue sandwiches however are nowhere near what you would find in a normal gas station. The neighborhood is a little seedy, but this is a nice little surprise on the outskirts of the downtown. Well worth the trip.

I didn't know what to expect when I went inside but I had read the good reviews so decided to give it a try and it really was a great location, loved the set up. I has the Bacon MacNCheese which was really good and came out quickly, reasonably priced as well.

Eat inside, or at the picnic tables outside, but eat here! We love the fresh sandwiches, and smoked BBQ. Today we shared the smoked turkey club (yummmmmmmmy), and the BBQ chicken, with a side of cole slaw. Everything is always so fresh here, and the staff are great. The store reminds us of those places off the highways up north.... More

Fill up your gas tank! Fill up your bake and confection bag! Fill up your appetite! When you stop here you can do all of the above. There is a cottage country look to the building and inside a retro atmosphere with cottage type memorabilia, old signs, various kink knacks, throwback candies and some baked goods. Remembrance of times past.... More

We were coming back from Kingston on Sunday and my wife wanted the brisket sandwich. We live in Etobicoke and have come here before. Heard about them at the Convenience show a few years ago. The food was always good. The order was to go and she doesn't like the grainy mustard for health reasons. She repeated this twice to... More

This is the cutest little snack bar in the cutest little gas station, ever! There are all kinds of sandwiches, salads, bagels and sides, and they serve from breakfast to late night. They smoke their own meats, and they are delicious. We had a smoked turkey club and a smoked chicken sandwich. Side of beans, and a side of fries.... More

This is a very adorable trendy cool fast food with a gasoline alley twist. After 8pm there is a nicely spiced Indian food sit in, or take out limited selection. This is not a fancy place. It's a gas station with a food connect that's very good. There is a nice little outdoor patio. It will be loud at times,... More

Breakfast sandwiches are old-style, hand-made. Everything is really tasty, fresh and well-prepared. They have the best home-made sandwiches, pulled pork, chili, etc, etc. The staff is friendly. A really fun place to stop for a really good, fast but old-fashioned meal.

Staying in East End

Neighbourhood Profile
East End
The East End is an eclectic amalgamation of areas that team up to make this district one of the most multi-faceted and alluring. Home to Toronto's LGBT community hub, Gay Village is alive and pumping day or night with friendly bars, nightclubs, and cafes – its thumb is on the pulse of excitement. For a more relaxed day, the East End has the largest collection of restored Victorian homes, and its stately streets, tree-lined and bursting at the seams with affluence, often sport farmers markets and street artists, epitomized by the effusive St. Lawrence Market. One of the most gorgeous of Toronto's neighborhoods, it also straddles Lake Ontario in an area called The Beach, where you'll find folks cycling and strolling along the sandy shorelines, getting some sun or enjoying shopping, dining, and pub options. For some fabulous food, the vivacious personalities running the restaurants in the East End's Greektown is only equaled by the fun and authenticity of the street stalls and restaurants at its expansive Indian Bazaar. 'Something for everyone' has never been so accurate.
