This place is incredible! I had the salad with prosciutto and a honey mustard dressing and the small plate of Carmelized onion/chorizo dip with little baquette crostini... delicious! Will recommend to anyone in/visiting Toronto. Xo! 💜

I've probably walked by this place dozens of times, never really noticed it was there. Met up with a friend for lunch on a rainy day - she suggested it because of its larger list of vegetarian options. Can't say enough good things about the place. The fantasy garden decor is incredibly cute and endearing to sit and have lunch... More

The chairs are a little uncomfortable but you can use the cushions -so don't be shy! Instead of having 1 large salad I chose 2 smaller salads - they were both super tasty! The sandwiches don't come with a side - so it's a little pricey. The desserts were to die for - best desserts I have had in a... More

We came here with friends and had a good lunch. Burgers and sandwiches are very good, with an home made patty and original flavours. Sides are differents from standards restaurants, with lentil salad, potatoes with oignons, quinoa salad... Service is very friendly and food made from scratch with fresh ingredients. The restaurant's design is cosy and friendly. The chef (french... More

One of the cheeriest cafes in the 'hood, great food, always fresh and unique combinations. Love all of the burgers and the soups are always top drawer.

Wanted to try a new restaurant before heading to The Distillery to see Sandra Shamas. A friend lives in the neighbourhood and recommended MerryBerry. What a great choice. Eclectic decor, an interesting menu and a gracious host. One had the chicken burger, so tasty. One the salmon burger again a hit. And last but absolutely scrumptious was a soba noodle... More

I randomly discovered this cafe last summer online. The interior is cute, fun, unique and quirky. I love the menu, filled with healthy and creative options! Th food is delicious, the area is quiet, and the staff is super friendly. I've tried all their desserts and am excited to try more from their current menu. The cafe is also situated... More

This is a TripAdvisor success story. I took an out of town guest to Subday brunch at MerryBerry. I selected it by searching brunch spots in Cabbagetown on TripAdvisor. Our dishes were outstanding. The signature quinoa salad had 7 or 8 components, including an aioli mayo on the side. The combinations of flavours were limitless, and each combo provided a... More

We met my daughter and two little grandsons for lunch today. I have limited mobility and use a walker. The staff were very helpful, assisting me to navigate a couple of stairs to the courtyard. I don't believe a wheelchair would be as easy to manage, although I think the staff would somehow figure it out.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
