Its the mouth-watering smell that grabs your nose and drags you into this small, hardly larger than a closet, sidewalk tight bacon sandwich serving gem. The guys behind the counter shout the orders and the cooking staff scramble to fill them. The air is heavy with beads of bacon grease that the little sunlight filtering through the window turns into... More

My son and I went to Rashers for a "brunch". Excellent choice. The bacon sandwhiches were excellent - lots of bacon, lots of condiments / add ons, hot and quick. Not a fast food place, but not a sit down either. Have some neat seats on the pavement. Well worth it. Good value.

Love the bacon sandwiches, both the bacon burger and the amazing Brie, caramel iced onion, bacon heart attack on a bun. Some of the other sandwiches were on bread that was too hardtop make eating them fun, but mine (I had the Brie and bacon) was terrific. Atmosphere is cheap booths and fluorescent lighting, so get takeout and have it... More

Epic !! Bacon Rolls, Bacon Sandwiches, pea bacon (back bacon for us Brit's) streaky bacon, cooked to perfection and served in a roll/bun with garlic mustard, chipotle sauce, ketchup, Brown sauce - back it up with a serving of cut fries or curly fries! Delicious disaster on a plate! Loved it and no veggie option here, unless Bacon has been... More

If a restaurant earned a one-word review, that restaurant is Rashers and the one word is “bacon”. Bacon is all you really need to know about Rashers, which specializes in all things bacon, offering multiple cuts—British style, peameal and strip—in a variety of formats…well, one format (sandwich) in a variety of constructions. (You can also order any of the sandwiches... More

I had NO IDEA there was an entire restaurant dedicated to BACON in this city! and they have 2 locations! I can see why Chef Scott of Toronto Food Tours leaves this to near the end of the culinary tour through Leslieville. You think, "there is NO WAY I can eat anything else!" and then he places half of a... More

Big fan of pork meat, so had to try this place. Had the Bacon Butty and Bacon on a Bun, with only minimal extras. VERY tasty - bacon was well done in both cases, but not burned. Brown sauce on the butty and aioli mayo (?) on the bun, and both were nicely seasoned without the sauces overpowering. Tiny little... More

I hear you - but I did not eat meat there either. I do, however, have carnivore friends who love the bacon sandos (Aussie word for sandwiches) there and you can see why just looking for them. I have been there twice and you can order any of their sandos without the bacon and they are just brill! They also... More

This is not an every day stop for me because I try to limit my bacon intake severely. However, if you are having bacon withdrawals, this is the place I'd recommend! I had the best bacon sandwich I have ever eaten there - bacon on a bun. Packed with amazing peameal bacon and served on a warmed bun. I seriously... More

Staying in East End

Neighbourhood Profile
East End
The East End is an eclectic amalgamation of areas that team up to make this district one of the most multi-faceted and alluring. Home to Toronto's LGBT community hub, Gay Village is alive and pumping day or night with friendly bars, nightclubs, and cafes – its thumb is on the pulse of excitement. For a more relaxed day, the East End has the largest collection of restored Victorian homes, and its stately streets, tree-lined and bursting at the seams with affluence, often sport farmers markets and street artists, epitomized by the effusive St. Lawrence Market. One of the most gorgeous of Toronto's neighborhoods, it also straddles Lake Ontario in an area called The Beach, where you'll find folks cycling and strolling along the sandy shorelines, getting some sun or enjoying shopping, dining, and pub options. For some fabulous food, the vivacious personalities running the restaurants in the East End's Greektown is only equaled by the fun and authenticity of the street stalls and restaurants at its expansive Indian Bazaar. 'Something for everyone' has never been so accurate.
