The Dip lost it a long time ago but I still liked to go for old time's sake. No longer. The kitchen has forgotten about timing -waited almost an hour for a pizza and then it was the wrong one. Location is the only thing going for the Dip but unless they revamp and change drastically it's time to put... More

Very loud. Good service. The food is mediocre. I had the chicken parm with a side of penne. Chicken parm was extremely small and the penne was a small scoop. The sauce was good tasting, but not as great as I've had in other Italian restaurants Won't go back.

My wife and I enjoyed meat lasagna and fettuccine a la carbonara. I don't think you can get better anywhere in little Italy. Enjoyed delicious carrot cake for desert. Good selection of wines and beer available. We visited for the first time in ten years after being regulars as members of the Gallery Choir at the Church of St. Mary... More

It seems to be a god place to taste some Italian recipes. In my opinion I didn't enjoy a very good meal but I trust in them, because I saw others tables, they also have good food. My plate was a starter of ham and salami and some vinegar vegetables that actually didn't like me. Ok, I'm going to try... More

We are from out of town and wanted a family restaurant in Little Italy in Toronto. When entering the resto, it is a typical Italian local eatery. Very comfortable and welcoming. Our order was quickly taken. Once the food arrived, we were constantly interrupted by different waiters (3-4) to see if all was ok and if we needed anything. It... More

I've gone to this place several times and each time I dine solo due to my travel. Each time I've received a delicious meal from pasta to pizza. I don't know if it's because I am there by myself but they seem to forget me and look after the other tables. It's disappointing because I pay my tab and used... More

This place has been owned by the same family for over 50 years and is a areal family restaurant serving the best veal in town and they really care and listen. Last time I asked why the veal scalapini (sp) was different the son said sorry new chef needs to learn the recipe and they took it off the bill.... More

Whether you go to the "Dip" in the summer for patio days or on the coldest day in winter, the food is great, service is very good and you are always greeted with a smile. One of the great "go to" places in Toronto for wonderful Italian including the pizza which is always made just the way you want it.

We met our friends who live near College St, and ate on the patio. This was our second visit, although we try to go to a new place every time we drive down.. Very popular restaurant, but the wait is short, even on Saturday night. We had 2 types on one pizza. Crisp Thin Crust very fresh hand made. Other... More

Found this while exploring Toronto's Little Italy. Nice menu and they had a gluten-free alternative pizza crust. Nice custom pizza selections and great friendly service. Indoor and outdoor seating.

Staying in Little Italy

Neighbourhood Profile
Little Italy
Toronto's Little Italy is a city hotspot for cafe culture and nightlife. There's something for everyone in Little Italy, apparent from the cross-section of clubbers in glitzy dresses, and elderly couples arm-in-arm heading to their favorite wine or pasta spot. Cafes spill onto the wide sidewalks, pool lounges and bars are always teeming with noise and activity, and both outdoor and indoor marketplaces are packed with fresh fish, cured meats, and pungent cheeses. All of the activity makes it a perfect spot for people-watching, especially over a nice glass of red wine or a quick and sumptuous slice of pizza at one of the many eateries or trattorias in the area.
