We had breakfast on Family Day as part of our overnight stay at the Grand Hotel. The food was good, and very plentiful both in quantity and selection, including gluten free baking. The staff were attentive despite the business of that holiday breakfast crowd. Hot food was replenished on a regular basis. I can't comment on pricing as it was... More

Excellent food. Fine service. Expensive gut typicl for ahotel restaurant but the food is not typical, it is quite sophisticated.

We enjoyed the breakfast buffet. Scrambled eggs aren't wonderful, but not surprising for this type of thing. We liked the bacon and potatoes, baked goods, fruit mostly. There was enough variety and juice and coffee included. Great service by staff and the dining area is quite elegant. Nice start to the two days of our stay. We went other places... More

We only had the breakfast buffet, It was great, a huge selection even if you came down close to 10 am they were still filling the eggs, bacon etc. (Not like other places we have been where the food runs out). Service was outstanding.

We were staying at the Grand Hotel and had only just arrived so decided to eat here on our 1st night. Restaurant was quiet but it was later on in the evening. Staff were very friendly and effecient and great menu choice. As it was Friday they had fresh sushi being made so we took full advantage and tried some... More

Had the bountiful breakfast each morning. So well done, and lots of attention to detail. The service was pleasant and our waiter remembered our coffee preferences on the second day! Had late nite snacks in Citrus one evening. The server knew the ingredients in everything listed on the menu, that's rare. Wonderful food and attentive service. Kristen is a great... More

The burger is very good, the dessert is magnificent, very good service, the location is convenient, as not too far from the government building for MGS and good lunch meeting location, good parking across the street too. Definitely recommend and have to have their dessert

We ate here twice whilst staying at the Grand Hotel and Suites. Since we had two small children with us we did not want to eat in the formal dining room, although we know it to be excellent. The bar staff were wonderful and really made everyone feel comfortable. There is a small but reasonably comprehensive menu including mussels. Our... More

The Citrus at the Grand hotel offers a menu for everyone to enjoy. You'll find many guest in the morning for the free breakfast. There are many seating area, tables, bar height tables for groups and also eating area with couches. There is a courtyard which would be nice during the warm months. The staff are helpful and courteous.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
