The place looked interesting, but we were disappointed. Initial service was quick, but then the wait began. It was busy and so we thought the was the reason for delay of the food. We were worried about exceeding the parking limit we had for the car. When we got the food, we found it only warm...it obviously had been sitting... More

We were a part of 5 and all of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Pricey but you get a lot of very flavourful food. Wonderful service by Konrad our waiter. Hope to visit this place again when in town.

This is a warm and cosy restaurant in a charming part of Toronto. Their squash soup was particularly yummy as was their Eggs Benedict from their all day breakfast. My husband also liked Fettucine with Chicken and Broccoli. The service was fast and friendly too. Best of all, the prices were extremely reasonable. A very nice restaurant.

Food very good ... service a little slow ... but the friendly nature of the staff made you feel part of this popular family restaurant in the Beaches area of Toronto ...

Went for a walk along the beaches in Toronto and as we meandered up the the quaint shopping area we came across this indoor/outdoor cafe. Service was good and the food was good. Had a traditional breakfast, Quiche and smoked salmon scrambled eggs. Ok price for the food. Nice atmosphere!

After some swimming at the lake, we ended up at the Beacher Cafe. We were welcomed by an attentive hostess and a great waiter. Excellent food, great atmosphere, friendly staff, personable owner and, above all, an amazing picante mayonnaise. A very attentive waiter (Konrad) made us feel at home, relaxed and taken care off. Kumiko, the owner, took time to... More

Haven't been to the Beacher Cafe for a few years so decided to try it again and see if the price/quality had improved. It was lunch so I ordered the chicken caeser salad listed for $18.00. I expected a substantial lunch for that amount but was disappointed at what I received and was certainly thankful that I hadn't gone with... More

Good mix of seating choices as you can sit inside but it is open to the outside, so no problem if it starts raining. Quick seating and friendly service. Lots of menu choices for brunch. Food was good, unfortunately not what I ordered. While paying I heard a complaint from someone who had not received all of their order. Maybe... More

Food was ok - I only had an appetiser which was tasty enough, 3 others in my party had mains which they were happy with. The problem came when the waitress cleared the table when one of our party was still obviously eating (a common, annoying restaurant error in Canada/North America) then worst of all after asking if we would... This is a great breakfast spot. We go here with the grandchildren, and they always find something to their liking. There is usually street parking close by. The prices are typical for the Beach area...a little high, but that is not unique for this area.

Staying in East End

Neighbourhood Profile
East End
The East End is an eclectic amalgamation of areas that team up to make this district one of the most multi-faceted and alluring. Home to Toronto's LGBT community hub, Gay Village is alive and pumping day or night with friendly bars, nightclubs, and cafes – its thumb is on the pulse of excitement. For a more relaxed day, the East End has the largest collection of restored Victorian homes, and its stately streets, tree-lined and bursting at the seams with affluence, often sport farmers markets and street artists, epitomized by the effusive St. Lawrence Market. One of the most gorgeous of Toronto's neighborhoods, it also straddles Lake Ontario in an area called The Beach, where you'll find folks cycling and strolling along the sandy shorelines, getting some sun or enjoying shopping, dining, and pub options. For some fabulous food, the vivacious personalities running the restaurants in the East End's Greektown is only equaled by the fun and authenticity of the street stalls and restaurants at its expansive Indian Bazaar. 'Something for everyone' has never been so accurate.
