They greet and welcome kids. Bring them bread and non-spill cups immediately. Serve their food first if you wish (yes, please). Volunteered to substitute a potentially less messy pasta shape for the kids. Split portions for smaller kids. Even pre-cut the tartufo into manageable bite-sized pieces for little kids. Atmosphere is cheery, positive, and full of families ... and also... More

Quick and consistently great authentic Italian food. Very friendly staff. Awesome service. Great salads, pizza, pasta, fish, chicken, steak and ribs. Delicious tiramisu and cappuccino. Full bar. TV to view sports. Reasonably priced

Once a happening place, Ferraro has gone downhill. Was there last week with friends. Pasta was just sad. Olive oil and balsamic vinegar was sad (and they're in plastic bottles on the table...really?!?). Bread...meh. Far better Italian eateries in the city. Take a pass on this one.

Good food in a family run, family friendly restaurant. Very accommodating. Informal. Wood fired pizza which are all excellent. Eglinton salad is recommended

We love Italian food and on Eglinton there is lots of choice. Instead of hitting our usual go-to place a few doors away, we decided to try Ferraro 502. What a pleasant discovery. The place has a relaxed, easy going vibe. The two rooms are neither crowded nor noisy, just comfortable. Service was exceptional - ice water seconds after we... More

Absolutely love this place. The service is great and it is a calm and relaxing atmosphere - perfect for families. The food tastes like Nonna makes it; exactly what you want from an Italian restaurant...highly recommended !

Good spot for couples, friends, families meeting up for a quick but delicious bite. Service is always good and food comes quickly and hot! Not necessarily a good choice for a long romantic dinner but if you're looking for consistently good standard Italian food in a bright and happy environment then this is your place.

I loved the fact that the restaurant offered so many choices, in particular the ability to get whole wheat pie. Though the crust was quite good- nice and thin- the pizza lacked much taste. It was fairly plain with not enough seasoning. Rather bland. Our server was terrific and she brought extra spices and pesto to give the pizza a... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
