This was my second time visiting Grapefruit Moon. The first time was largely forgettable but I had a great second time. Ended up here before the theatre that's located somewhat close by. Happened to be burger and a pint night - any burger, any pint - which depending on what you chose was a great deal. We all had different... More

I came here with my friend who is gluten-free and dairy free and it was nice for her since most of the food items came with an option of gluten free bread. She was also able to substitute with vegan cheese. It was an additional $2 for each substitution, so it's not cheap, but still good! It's a small location,... More

We were guided to the Grapefuit Moon by our host at the Rose Garden B&B and were so pleased that we were. We ended up eating there twice and visting a third time just for drinks. The choice of beer is great and the wines on offer very good too. Food is good pub grub and the atmosphere is perfectly... More

This is a small place on Bathurst St. The patrons are mostly University students or "earthy" young types. The food is decent, nothing special but OK. COffee is great. Service is slow. I think it is best to go when they are not too busy.

First time there with a friend for brunch. Server wiped the table before we sat down but with little energy or interest. There was a piece of scramble egg on the table from previous diner throughout our meal. Before I sat down on the bench I had to wipe off crumbs and egg pieces myself as the staff didn't seem... This used to be a funky (albeit a little grungy) fun, family centric restaurant with quirky specialties, now it been "cleaned up" and it's not great. The server seemed to be actually avoiding being helpful as if he had decided we weren't his type of people or something, we saw many other people getting served in what looked like preferential... After a long Friday night we were hungry and we wanted to see Toronto on a Saturday. We drove toward Toronto on Bathurst looking for a place to eat. Luckily we saw a busy restaurant with outdoor patio and a parking space nearby. We stopped and went in. Very good Bloody Caesars , eggs /bacon and granola with fruit. A... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
