Their pizza is simply amazing. It has tons of toppings unlike the chains. The ingredients are fresh and the dough wonderful. It is great having a family-run business who cares about the food. You get an awesome pizza for a modest price.

I swung by this place while out in the east end on business because I had heard the food was good. Ordered a classic chicken souvlaki meal for takeout and waited in the diningroom while it was cooked. The interior was right out of the late 70's-early 80's and seemed to have a steady stream of regulars coming in for... More

One of the best places for pizza in the GTA!! Should get more recognition, its great to support an independent restaurant instead of the pizza novas/pizzapizzas of the world. Light airy fresh crust, lots of cheese and great taste.

Went to Hunter's yesterday for Sunday dinner with my kids and another family.. Pizza was a average. Lots of cheese but dough wasn't the chewy type... Gyros pita had about 5 thin slices but was under a high pile of onions/tomato. Wouldn't order that again. Lamb suvlaki pita was lite and again under high pile of onion/tomato. About 5 small... More

My family and I have been going to hunters for over 15 years. Changed ownership about a year or so ago, and the quality is still great. It's actually a Greek restaurant, and the Greek food is very good, but as it says in their name, the pizza is also one of their specialties. Good value, very filling, and very... More

I've been going to Hunter's with my family probably since before I could talk. It's never disappointed from souvlaki to pizza to pasta dishes. Their Greek salad is the best I have ever tried and they're my favourite place to get pizza! Great prices and always warm service. :)

This is a hidden gem in Toronto's east end. Current owners have new menu. I had almost everything in the menu. Last visit I had the lamb souvlaki with rice, it came with greek salad. Their onion rings are delicious and I always order it. I never had their soup.

Great food, friendly staff, reasonably priced - what else could you ask for? We've been there several times. The quality of the service and food are consistent.

Another random find in our quest for last minute lunch. The decor is a little old school but we weren't there to critique their decorating style. Service was fast even though there was a loud, large group present when we arrived. Food came fairly quick and we were pleasantly surprised at how good it was. Fresh, tasty chicken grilled with... Food here was great. The portions are really big and the prices were fair. Service was slow but very friendly. Greek salad was excellent as was the souvlaki. Pizza was good but not great. I'd go every week if we lived close by.

Staying in Scarborough

Neighbourhood Profile
Situated astride Lake Ontario, Scarborough is a district heavily influenced by immigration. With a number of low-rent shopping and dining options making it a highly affordable part of town, and boasting one of Toronto's largest shopping malls, the otherwise green suburban neighborhood is a good place to go for bargains and discounts. It also draws in photographers. The spires, archways, and cavernous rooms of the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir Palace are filled with breathtaking art, architecture, and detailed reliefs – it’s like entering a different world, The ruins of columns and installation art at the Guild Inn makes a free-for-all exploration site, while the big-name draw for young photographers is the menagerie at the Toronto Zoo. While many visitors shirk Scarborough as too suburban, its houses are some of Toronto's most mystical and haunting architectural beauties. And for adventure lovers, it has river-rafting and some unique hiking trails.
