Mi MI's is one of my favourite restaurants in the city, Yummy Vietnamese food. Drinks. It's quaint, not expensive, and fast. Family run and super welcoming. Make sure to bring cash, they don't take cards. (There's an ATM in the variety store across the street if you need it)

There are many options, but this is always one of my go-to's for Vietnamese food. The quality and authenticity are on point. It takes me back to the time I spent in Vietnam, by the smell, taste, and people. Great, cozy atmosphere, and decently priced. The food quality is always good, and fresh.

Has been a neighbourhood gem, neighbours recommended and is now our go-to. Pho is always delicious, favourite is the Coconut curry Chicken soup with vermicelli. Its nothing fancy inside, great value and food.

This slightly off-the-main-beat of restaurants near Broadview and Gerrard was a modest space with a very familiar and friendly staff. My beef brisket soup was good, though a bit saltier than I prefer. One of my tests of Vietnamese restaurants is how good their deep fried spring rolls are. The style and quality of this item (and its price) vary... More

We were recommended to try this by the owner of the condo we are staying in. I can't tell you what I had but will try to describe. In a bowl, lettuce at the bottom followed by noodles and then sausage and egg roils in top. The flavor was good and it was filling. We ordered a side of three... More

I read about this place in a magazine so when I was in the area, I thought I would check it out. Nothing was particularly wrong with this place, I just felt it was pretty average. Service was excellent and incredibly friendly, especially from the lady who worked the cash who I assume must be the owner. I also appreciated... More

I brought 2 of my friends here and we enjoyed fresh veggie rolls and shrimp rolls along with main dishes. The food is always easy and fresh, a delight for the palate. And there are healthy helpings so one never goes away hungry. Also recommend the sugarcane shrimp! It's a nice local family run joint - humble, comfortable and great... More

According to the friends who treated, this is the real deal for Vietnamese food. We had the bun which was loaded with noodles, pounded shrimp-wrapped sugar cane, grilled chicken, vegetables, and a crispy spring roll. With a lovely pink broth to smother the lot. Very tasty. And, light.

Staying in East End

Neighbourhood Profile
East End
The East End is an eclectic amalgamation of areas that team up to make this district one of the most multi-faceted and alluring. Home to Toronto's LGBT community hub, Gay Village is alive and pumping day or night with friendly bars, nightclubs, and cafes – its thumb is on the pulse of excitement. For a more relaxed day, the East End has the largest collection of restored Victorian homes, and its stately streets, tree-lined and bursting at the seams with affluence, often sport farmers markets and street artists, epitomized by the effusive St. Lawrence Market. One of the most gorgeous of Toronto's neighborhoods, it also straddles Lake Ontario in an area called The Beach, where you'll find folks cycling and strolling along the sandy shorelines, getting some sun or enjoying shopping, dining, and pub options. For some fabulous food, the vivacious personalities running the restaurants in the East End's Greektown is only equaled by the fun and authenticity of the street stalls and restaurants at its expansive Indian Bazaar. 'Something for everyone' has never been so accurate.
