I have had it with loud restaurants! This place came highly recommended for our family of six. We arrived on a Saturday for an 8PM reservation and the place was packed. It was almost impossible to speak to the person beside me. A member of our group checked the noise level on his handy iphone app and it recorded between... More

We were interested to see if Massimo having left Mistura had made a difference. Fortunately, it has not. High quality service and exceptional food are still very evident. We order a barbera wine that is cherry- flavoured, deep and fantastic. Great beginning. We decide to share the appetizer burrata. Sitting atop a crown of pesto, onions and tomatoes is an... More

If you've been to Mistura before the changes, be prepared for a very different dining experience. The menu is limited, the portions are tiny and the quality of the food and presentation have deteriorated. This used to be one of our "go to" restaurants for a really nice night out. We were terribly disappointed with our dining experience. Barely a... More

Attended on a busy Saturday evening. After been seated we waited at least 15 minutes before the waiter came to offer choice of water. We choose tap water, the waiter disappeared for another 15 minutes before he told us of the specials. It was a half hour before we had any bread. The waiter finally returned to take our order,... We retuned for a special occasion dinner - having not been to Mistura in ten years. The service was great but the food lacked personality. The Branzino - fish entree was the standout. The rest was mediocre...

We have wanted to sojourn downtown to this restaurant for some time and finally made it after watching Massimo on TV. Decent maybe a little dated decor but the food and service where impeccable! All the food was exceptional and the prices not out of line!

Elegantly prepared cuisine. The management knows how to run a fine dining establishment. The staff is well aware of the dish you order & make excellent recommendations.

I have never written a restaurant review but I believe that one is more than due. We went to Mistura for the first time and had a very enjoyable dining experience. We requested for suggestions to our host, Bess, who looked after us that evening and she was more than happy to answer any questions that we may have had.... More

Some years ago, family and friends dined at Mistura when it was owned and managed by Chef Massimo. We enjoyed a very good meal. This was our first time back since management changed. The restaurant is more relaxed and there appears to have been some changes in the layout and décor. We had no reservation, but we were welcomed warmly.... More

Yet another wonderful meal! It is one of Toronto’s finest. Perfect for a family celebration or a quiet business meeting.

Description
Located close to Toronto's Yorkville area, Mistura opened in October of 1997 to rave reviews and continues today with the same ideals. It boasts excellent quality, seasonal menus and served by the professional and knowledgeable team. Mistura is about hospitality that's fun and comfortable, set in an elegant candle-lit atmosphere. A contemporary Italian cuisine reflects a simplified yet refined approach to taste. An extensive wine list, including wine from some of the world's finest vineyards, and an attentive, knowledgeable staff add to the appeal. Perhaps you prefer a more intimate, private setting. Mistura's private dining room holds 14 people, while the semi-private dining room holds up to 40, to cater to your more private functions.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
