I gave it 5 because of the great service. I ordered my meal and when I tasted cilantro (which I can't Stand) the waiter offered to remake it again, no charge. When I still tasted cilantro in the remade dish, it was discovered that cilantro was in the stock that they use for the sauce and my taste buds are... More

Other than my 3 A+'s for Murphy's Law's great name, great building (from the outside at least) and great location, all else was (and, trust me I'm being kind) BRUTALY BAD for this Leslieville Pub. Not only did our beers arrive flat (though fair is fair - kudos for replacing) 3 of our 4 food orders arrived grossly overcooked (visually... More

This is a great looking pub-style restaurant with a rooftop patio offering tremendous views of the beaches area and Woodbine Park. They have a good selection of mixed drinks and beer and the menu seemed to be nicely varied as well. I ordered a Caesar and was directed towards their Caesar bar which had a large selection of garnishes and... More

Been there a few times in the past 4 years and each time just a bit disappointed. Either felt really dirty or the service was SLOW or the food was lousy. No real need to go back there, especially when the "nicer" bars (Lion, Gull, Salty) are just down the street.

This was the first restaurant we visited while in Canada . The service we received was outstanding .. The food was very good as well as the drinks . Plenty of outside dining . We chose to sit in the back patio . It was a very nice evening . If in the area again - we will dine here... More

Centrally located in the beaches area of Toronto at Queen St. and Kingston Rd., Murphy's Law is in a quaint old building with two stories and a rooftop 'loft' patio. Food is good but the day I was there it was slow coming, but they did give us all a discount card for the next visit. They have daily specials... More

Good food , great staff and nice decor but the music, way too loud! High chairs provided but seated in a busy corridor type space en-route to the rest rooms as our reserved table had been given to someone else which surprised me.

We're in Toronto visiting friends and they're just down the road from Murphy's Law Pub and Kitchen, so we decided to come here for a bite to eat. This is a neat place that has some street side tables and an interesting old English style decor inside. There quite a selection of beer as you would expect in a pub... More

Recently renovated pub with a ground floor that seems more bar oriented, a second floor more dining room and a wonderful roof-top patio with great views of the beach, busy boulevards and beyond. No room for me up there this day, but I did take a peek.… I came during the Beach Jazz Festival between sets and although the place... More

Staying in East End

Neighbourhood Profile
East End
The East End is an eclectic amalgamation of areas that team up to make this district one of the most multi-faceted and alluring. Home to Toronto's LGBT community hub, Gay Village is alive and pumping day or night with friendly bars, nightclubs, and cafes – its thumb is on the pulse of excitement. For a more relaxed day, the East End has the largest collection of restored Victorian homes, and its stately streets, tree-lined and bursting at the seams with affluence, often sport farmers markets and street artists, epitomized by the effusive St. Lawrence Market. One of the most gorgeous of Toronto's neighborhoods, it also straddles Lake Ontario in an area called The Beach, where you'll find folks cycling and strolling along the sandy shorelines, getting some sun or enjoying shopping, dining, and pub options. For some fabulous food, the vivacious personalities running the restaurants in the East End's Greektown is only equaled by the fun and authenticity of the street stalls and restaurants at its expansive Indian Bazaar. 'Something for everyone' has never been so accurate.
