I grew up near Nashville, TN and The Old Spaghetti Factory there is still one of my favorite restaurants. I just had to go to the one in Toronto while we were visiting there! The interior is full of antiques and curiosities from the area, and it has the traditional "street car" with dining tables in it. The food was... More

Our family of four (kids 7 & 9) went here for supper on a rainy TO night. No reservations and walked right in. Cool decor and the service was great. Free bread!! Food was just ok. The ice cream was great. Would not be in a rush to go back.

Visited this restaurant last weekend for the first time while in Toronto. The setting is certainly unique with lots of antiques and fairground artefacts. I can't imagine there are many places where you can eat in an old rail cart or dine next to wooden horses. The menu has a lot of choice and the food, for the price, is... More

Pros 1. Kids/Family Friendly 2. Fun especially when dining in Streetcar Exhibit 3. Reasonable prices 4. Friendly courteous staff Menu: 1. Menu could use a revamp in terms of product offerings - e.g. expanded pasta offering

Thank you for the review! There is an old saying that goes "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" and we take that to heart. All of the dishes that were on our original menu over 45 years ago can still be found on our menu today. We think that is part of the reason why we have been in... More

Stayed across the street at the Novotel and was too tired to go any further. The place was packed, and the wait not so bad. Good portions.

Description
A meal at The Old Spaghetti Factory is an experience. We invest meticulous attention to our decor so our guests feel as though they're stepping into another world. Every location is adorned with antique lighting, intricate stained glass displays and an old-fashioned trolley car that doubles as a dining hall. Nearly every item on The Old Spaghetti Factory's menu is made on-site, from scratch, using fresh ingredients. Unlike most restaurants, when you order our entrees, we serve you a complete meal, which includes bread, soup or salad, and dessert. And with our famous kid's menu, special treats and fun activities, we encourage families to feel at home in our restaurants. The Old Spaghetti Factory is still family owned and operated and we welcome your family to join ours for a memorable dining experience.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
