So me and my partner were venturing around China Town for a nice restaurant to eat in, and after seeing a deal with a dish and soup for like $6.99, we decided to pop in! When arriving, there were 3 tables occupied, nearer the door, but the staff made us sit all the way at the end of this big... More

Considering the high ranking, I was disappointed. We live close to China Town so are there at least once a week. There are dozens of restaurants and after years, we haven't managed to visit them all. Today, we passed by our old favourites to try this place. Have to admit, the $4.99 lunch clinched the deal and ended our search.... More

Someone suggested to pay a visit to this place for its seafood, lobster in particular. So I did. Order sauteed lobster ginger/scallion (the staple of Chinese seafood for me) and hot n sour soup to start with. I know my hot n sour soup, believe me! This one was just fantastic! The soup base, the trimmings, the right amount of... More

Never been so ripped off ever in my life. AVOID this place if you’re a tourist. I just had an unbelievably disgusting incident at this restaurant. After reading some glowing reviews (Wonder if they went to the same restaurant?!), I’ve decided to try this restaurant based on TA reviews. Maybe it was couple of extremely dishonest waitresses ruined my experience... More

We stopped in here when we got to Chinatown and was a bit surprised that the place was dead empty. This made me a bit leary but we were convinced by the lady out front to come in and try it. The lobster price was surprisingly cheap. 2 lobsters for $20. They were good size and deliciously prepared. We also... More

I'm visiting from Singapore, and I say yummy Chinese food for very decent prices. nuff said. It's my first visit to North America and my dad can't live wo some azn food so... We weren't disappointed at all. Definitely go lobster, it's amazingly cheap here compared to back home. Veges stir fried with garlic, anything fried with spices and salt... More

I met some friends who are familiar with Chinatown. They knew how to order, what to order and the price of the order. She said 4 dishes and the waitress said 54. We had free soup, came chow mien seafood, steamed fish, lobster and eggplant with shrimp. The combination was good and the price was fixed. You can see that... More

Went there tonight for dinner based on Tripadvisor reviews, and was a little disappointed. Maybe we ordered the wrong dishes, but I found the chicken and corn soup a little less thrilling than I'm used to (though plenty of big chunks of chicken in it). The tofu and seafood hot pot had a ton of tofu and not as much... More

I've eaten at Rol Jui alot of times and it has never disappointed me. They recently changed their decor with new tables, chairs, ceiling decorations , which makes the restaurant better looking than before. The foods good and the waitresses are friendly and some of the best customer service I've had. Lunchtime is also a great time to eat here because... More

I have gone to the Rol Jui many times, as I live in the hood. Sometimes the nameless chef is replaced so I prefer to go in the weekend, when the quality is best. There are some dishes that they do best: lobster, salt and chilly seafood or squid, snowpea leaves, eggplant with shrimp and black bean sauce. Soups are... More
