A great little funky spot in the heart of Toronto, with fantastic, creative food and terrific service. I think it's going to be my new 'go to' spot!

To find a restaurant still open after so many years is almost unbelivable. I have been here probably in the late 80th or early 90th and this place is still here and it was packed! We had a great duck potine (or so :-) ). delicious.

Conveniently located not even a block from the Summer Hill subway station. The menu looked like a nice mix, and the food was very good. Steaks cooked properly to order and nicely seasoned. Dessert options were diverse, creative and tasty. The biggest challenge was the seating. The two window tables were in a ridiculously small space that only fairly skinny... More

My partner and I visited this diner for lunch on March 6th, while visiting Toronto for a long weeked. It was far from our hotel and the places we wanted to visit but it was highly recommended by a friend. We were not disappointed. Service was nice, polite, discreet yet attentionate. And the food, so good! I did not expect... More

Brunch with a middle eastern theme. It was delicious. Service was OK - they were very busy at the time. Happy to accommodate us with a bigger table so we could put our newborn in her car set on a spare seat.

My son and I were looking for a place for lunch. We tried Rosedale as it's not too far from where he lives. We got there after 2 so it was pretty quiet. Just one other table. The restaurant is pretty small but nicely decorated and cozy. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. They have a separate small menu for... More

I visited this restaurant with a friend and it was absolutely spectacular! The restaurant is picturesque and the food is to die for! The staff are amazing at their job and are always willing to answer any questions that one has. The steak was cooked to perfection and it contained so much flavour that it felt like it was lighting... More

The forecast freezing rain held off until we arrived for our 11:30 lunch reservation. I expected the restaurant to be small but I was still surprised. The bar seemed to dominate the room. A few tables abutted the north wall across from the bar. A few tables beyond the bar. The window bays on either side of the entrance had... More

Went there for lunch with my wife and two other family members. First time there for my wife and I. The other two have eaten at the restaurant several times. I found the food and service excellent. If we were in the area again, would definitely go back.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
