This is an excellent spot whether you're on an upbeat first date or with a group of friends. Great food and service! Just don't get too many chilli's

Stumbled on this place by accident. Never thought we'd get a seat coming in at 12:15 as the place was hopping. We were seated almost immediately. The food selection is good, enough for lunch, but don't expect a quiet place. We sat at a communal table and chowed down with the rest of the wolves. I'll go back.

I have been here several times for lunch. They are always quick and the food has never disappointed. You can pick your own level of spicy which is nice. Mango salad is excellent and in general all the vegetables served are fresh and not over cooked.

This place was crazy busy over the lunch hour, but no reservations needed and we were seated almost immediately. Lots on the menu, and the food was pretty good and came in short order. It's a place to get chow in a hurry, but don't expect a quiet and quaint meal because you won't find it here.

Arrived with my husband at 5pm when the restaurant was half empty as it wasn't peak dinner time yet. We were seated by the hostess at a communal table with low small hard stools. This set up takes up approx 60% of seating in the dining room. My husband had never been there so we weren't aware how well this... More

The food was really good and the atmosphere was pretty busy, yet nice. The service was friendly and quick. My only complaint is that they need coat hangers for jackets. Maybe mounted to the wall or standing post would help. Great price for 2 people is about 30-40 bucks.

We used to go here years ago, and this time around, it was just okay. Everything was bland and basic, nothing special. New location, new owners perhaps? The waitress knew nothing about the wines they had on the menu, she said she doesn't drink so she doesn't know! Huh?? Train someone that knows, they don't need to drink!! Also, no... More

I love this place, the food is delicious and reasonably priced. Don't go alone, especially when it's a snowy Sunday evening, the restaurant is 3/4s empty and it's an hour and a half until closing. Their policy is "single" diners must eat in the back of the restaurant. Not allowed to sit in the middle or front of the restaurant.... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
