The fish and chips are tasty.Price is reasonable.A pot of tea is served or you can purchase Irn Bru a Scottish pop for an additional charge. The place is dated but the staff are pleasant.

I went with friends recently to St. Andrews Fish and Chips. The restaurant is located in a strip mall Scarborough. It decore is what we expected, simple, clean. The menu is on the back of the place mats. It features lots of different fish and chips and a great selection of Scottish fare. We all had haddock and chips. The... More

A great family restaurant with more than just Fish & Chips. St Andrews has a good variety of Scottish flare on the menu but the Fish & Chips are definitely the best in town! Don't forget the gravy (yummy).

This is a stable constant on my list of favourites. Grew up in the area and have fond memories of this family run restaurant. The decor has not changed much in the 30+ years I have been a patron. the food is great and prices reasonable with good portion sizes.

This small restaurant is probably best described as a "classic fish & chip place". The ambience is pleasant as are the waitresses. The fish & chips are very, very good and the portions are large. Try the haddock and fries. Seniors receive a 25% discount (but not on the halibut) on Tuesdays after 4:00 pm. Good deal all around. Drop... More

I've been coming here on and off for a long time and its always a great meal. Now mind you I don't eat fish and chips very often but when I get that craving St.Andrews is the best. The halibut pieces are heavenly large flaky white fillets with not a lot of batter and the chips are good too. The... More

If I had known about this place when I arrived this would have been dinner yesterday. Their fish and chips is top rate. Definitely worth the price. Service was friendly and good. Do not be deceived by the appearance from the outside. It looked like nobody was eating there but I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in.

Decent fish and chips, large portions. Nicely battered fish, thick cut fries (not my favorite). Decent, clean restaurant. Pricey, but about average from others places I been to.

I have ordered take-out several times from St. Andrews Fish and Chips, but never dined in. I usually call ahead and my order is always ready upon arrival. The halibut and chips are similar to what you would have in the UK. Chips are hand cut, crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. The halibut has a very... More

Staying in Scarborough

Neighbourhood Profile
Situated astride Lake Ontario, Scarborough is a district heavily influenced by immigration. With a number of low-rent shopping and dining options making it a highly affordable part of town, and boasting one of Toronto's largest shopping malls, the otherwise green suburban neighborhood is a good place to go for bargains and discounts. It also draws in photographers. The spires, archways, and cavernous rooms of the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir Palace are filled with breathtaking art, architecture, and detailed reliefs – it’s like entering a different world, The ruins of columns and installation art at the Guild Inn makes a free-for-all exploration site, while the big-name draw for young photographers is the menagerie at the Toronto Zoo. While many visitors shirk Scarborough as too suburban, its houses are some of Toronto's most mystical and haunting architectural beauties. And for adventure lovers, it has river-rafting and some unique hiking trails.
