We were taken to Teatro by a Chef, and were treated to fresh, homemade, complex tasting tapas, expertly prepared. Chef Shahir came out to greet us and wet our palette by explaining the dishes he was about to prepare, and we were not at all disappointed. The previous reviews are definitely left over from a previous staff, as this place... More

Teatro is doing everything right with their new summer menu. The restaurant’s large corner patio is exactly what is lacking in “Little Italy” and was very lively on this particular Thursday night. Being a group of four, we decided to indulge in the appetizers, tapas-style and were not disappointed. The Asparagus and Garlic Brushetta was a delicious summer twist on... More

My girlfriends and I accidentally stumbled upon Teatro as we had dinner down the street.. We wanted to go for a quick nightcap and some desserts before heading home. There were 2 other patrons which is strange for a College St establishment at 10pm on a Thursday night, but the waiter seemed friendly enough. It wasn’t until we overheard the... More

This is all about the patio - not the food

Love the food. simple and tasty. A place to feel at home with a RAD yes RAD atmosphere. A place to go with friends. And may I say the music rocks with lady DJMichelle.

Staying in Little Italy

Neighbourhood Profile
Little Italy
Toronto's Little Italy is a city hotspot for cafe culture and nightlife. There's something for everyone in Little Italy, apparent from the cross-section of clubbers in glitzy dresses, and elderly couples arm-in-arm heading to their favorite wine or pasta spot. Cafes spill onto the wide sidewalks, pool lounges and bars are always teeming with noise and activity, and both outdoor and indoor marketplaces are packed with fresh fish, cured meats, and pungent cheeses. All of the activity makes it a perfect spot for people-watching, especially over a nice glass of red wine or a quick and sumptuous slice of pizza at one of the many eateries or trattorias in the area.
