I have been a regular at Zucca for many years . I may go to other places , but Zucca is home. Highest standard in the kitchen , from the octopus salad , to orate , through to creme caramel. Seemingly simple , but such is perfection ! Service is always attentive, but never , and I mean never obtrusive... More

A very nice setting, and a well staffed and equiped crew. Not one moment I felt lost. The owner even came to give me some books on Italian food to read (I was alone), which I thought was very thoughtful and considerate. Think they felt sorry for me for being alone in such a nice place.Started with the simple green... More

We have been coming to Zucca for literally YEARS. It is our go-to restaurant. We used to live very close but after moving out of the city, we make sure to stop in anytime we are in town. The staff are amazing. I cannot say enough good things about them. The food is outstanding. Any pasta dish is guaranteed to... More

This appeared to be a popular eating place in Toronto. We had a reservation for shortly after the restaurant opens (6pm) and the restaurant filled up rapidly. So reservations are a must to avoid disappointment. The dining experience was excellent. A varied, original menu with a good selection of wines and beverages. Our party tried the 'strozzapreti' pasta with duck... More

Very good food, very good service, slightly pricey (15-20% higher) relative to other comparable mid/up town Italian restaurants but I knew that going in. Would certainly go back.

Have been traveling so haven't had a chance to check in at our favourite local haunt. Except for the noise level, Zucca is great. Their free polenta bite to start with is delicious. I have the radicchio and pear salad with walnuts. Besides the colour and using the lettuce as its own bowl, the salad is excellent, the flavours unexpected... More

Every time I go here I am greeted like an old friend. The waiters remember what I like to drink and the food is consistently a 10/10.

We went to this restaurant for the first time on the recommendation of a friend. The restaurant turned out to be a real gem. We were greeted by Jamie our waiter who through his enthusiasm and knowledge of the food had our group waiting in anticipation for a delicious meal. The choices were great and we experienced a fantastic meal... More

By far, one of the best Italian restaurants in Toronto. The service was wonderful....mille grazie Pamela! The food was absolutely fantastic. The pasta is home made with lots of variety, and the fish dishes are delicious. Wine list is simple but excellent. We ended an incredible meal with grilled peaches and mascarpone cheese and it was heavenly. This resto gets... More

Zucca was recommended by a friend who I should probably disassociate with. The food was mediocre at best. The service was that painfully overacted version, like William Shatner does dinner service. The price was outrageous for the experience. Like positively obscene. My guess of why Zucca is still around is because a lot of lame people don't like to travel... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
