I was there for celebrated one of the little teenager boy bday. We order a lots of sashimi and hot stuffs. And the UNI wasn't fresh that they mention those was a last left, that's why I guess that is the reason taste not a fresh. Other sashimi was good and the best tasty dish I would recommended a pork... I remember coming to Ki when it first opened like 12 years ago and it was really fresh and innovative. The menu was excellent and service was great. After going dozens of times over the years it remains a constant fixture for the Bay Street financial crowd which is part of the problem. Thursdays are crowded with suits and the... More

Nice and elegant venue to dine, conduct business or just converse over good food. The atmosphere (subdued and dimly lit) adds to the "coolness" of the place. The food is very good --- my bento sushi platter was delicious and moderately priced. Service was OK.

Went late reservation and the place was not busy. The food was really good enjoyed most of the dishes by far the favourite was the tempura shrimp - was really outstanding. Never like to complain about wait staff but we did not enjoy our service which is saying a lot because we are pretty easy going. Would still definitely go... More

We were in town this past weekend from Ottawa and had stopped here for some late night Sushi after a Jays game last year, so decided to return. We order many Sushi dishes to share around, and the food and service were both fantastic. Highly recommended and we will be back each time we visit for sure!

Walked by this place many times. Not as good as expected. Also I don't think it is worth the price. We were expecting more interesting dishes since this is a Japanese fusion place. We had some good dishes, but not really interesting and unique. Only recommended dish would be the dessert mochi with ice cream.

Stopped in to suss out this restaurant a few days before as I was planning a lovely dinner with my husband and daughter. I was very excited as the menu looked fantastic. I couldn't have been more disappointed. Most of the food was below average in taste with small portions for a very high prices. 3 strikes. The waiter had... More

Sushi, sake and Japanese cuisine - I have been coming to this restaurant since its opening (over 10 years) almost 3 times a week. Why go here over any other place that often when there are so many other restaurants in this area? I come because the place has been so well managed; the food consistently good and innovative; the... Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
