I've been to Pizza Rustica many times during weekend getaways to Toronto. However, this will be the last time. The service was slow though it was a moderately busy night. My husband received the wrong beer twice. The pizza was so disappointing. The cheese was rubbery, the pizza was definitely from a can, the dough was uncooked in the middle... More

I'm not really a pizza person but I was impressed by the offerings in this Restaurant. It was busy when we arrived and we only just managed to get a table before it was outside dining only; or join the queue for tables to become available. Despite it being full to capacity we waited only a short time to have... More

My wife and I had dinner here before going to Second City around the corner. Good calamari, Caesar salad and taramisu but the star was the pizza. Thin crust, delicious sauce and just the right amount of cheese. As a native New Yorker, I take my pizza serious, and this was solid. Plus the waiter was a really nice guy,... More

This restaurant was near our hotel and away from the main busy centres. We were looking for a quiet dinner and it appeared to have some vacant tables. We were advised by some existing patrons eating outside to go inside to get seated, On entering there appeared to be only two members of staff and it took a short while... More

Neat little restaurant but had goods and bads! hard to get seated as the hostess was doing nothing... waitress' finally seated us outside on the tiny patio! Nice gas heaters so even though it was a cool night, you had no issue staying warm. Fun to have all the Toronto-ites walking by as we were eating! Interesting when I asked... More

We ate dinner here this summer. All our meals of pasta and pizza were delicious, but the pasta portions were too small. This is the first dinner meal I've ever had at a restaurant where I left hungry. $17.00 for a small amount pasta that doesn't come with anything, garlic bread, side salad - nothing, isn't justifiable. Because of that... More

We've eaten here several times and prior to our last visit we would call this our favourite pizza place. It is a fantastic restaurant but is not without it's faults. On this last visit, it was a VERY hot and humid day so we wanted to eat inside - unfortunately the A/C was not working and the first table we... More

Arrived at 5 for a Jays game at 7. The place was already jammed. The manager exuded stress and set a really illogical table arrangement for us. It was VERY awkward and forced. Food was slow to appear. Once it did we had to scarf it and run. The staff took over 5 minutes to get our bill settled. Pizza... More

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
